Stainless Shadow group buy? who would be interested?
« on: December 31, 2016, 02:25:16 PM »
OK who would be interested in an all stainless Shadow?

I've been emailing CZ for the past 2 years on this. With a large enough Group buy we may be able to get a run done with some help from forum members with a working relationship with CZ.

Have the provided a number or range for the order? Would you have to have one of the shops front the order (one of our awesome custom shops) or would it have to be a big wholesaler like Bill Hicks (only one I have even heard of...)? For larger numbers of orders we may have to reach into some outside realms, but it would only take a little marketing or promotion from some of the blogs or Youtubers to peak interest. Half the SP-01 Compacts are gone and it has been the forum, one post from Mr Guns N Gear, and word of mouth. Just a little effort and it could be do-able to create some buzz and sell the order count much faster (if the forum members alone didn't get the quota filled).

Technicalities aside, I would get in on that!

I am not even interested in price. You get one made and I will buy one.  The single thing I am sad about Tanfos with is the hard chrome finish.  Stainless is close enough, and I would love it

Matte stainless might look good, no polish though.

One of the beloved custom shops picking this up would make the most sense I think, as for price point the difference between a regular 75B and a Stainless one would be a fair indicator of what the price difference would be, maybe a little more for the additional machining of the rail.

As for which one a Shadow or Shadow2. I'd jump on either in stainless. But the S2 being the new kid on the block it would make sense. I have no doubt a stainless would sell like hot cakes and I'm surprised it hasnt already been done with the shadow.

I like matte finish, one of my favorites, it looks great new, but scuffs / holster use show up fast, I'd opt for a Brushed finish, its the easiest to maintain.

I have my pre order in for a shadow 2. I'm not sure what color the grips will be (blue perhaps). Regardless of price, I'm interested in the stainless model.
