S&W 17
« on: June 14, 2021, 08:27:31 AM »
I just bought this 1960 made 17, the K-22 Masterpiece

It has honest wear, scars, German proof marks and a patina to it. I’ll use it as a shooter, bought it for $ 530

Ulm proof mark from 1962

A GECO stamp, they probably imported it into Germany back then

25 m target

Edit. It’s a 17 no dash, I got confused with my friend’s 1966 -2

Congrats- am also a fan of S&W revolvers- having a 617 and 63 22 or revolvers. Both are super accurate and the 617’s trigger is silky smooth.

congrats on that sweet M17/K22

they are getting more and more rare here.  but finding a 5 screw, P&R, lazy Ampersand is sweet.  It maybe a bit rough on the outside, but if its still nice on the inside, you should be good.

how's the lockup?

Good price and nice revolver.
How easy does it take std ammo? Do the cases get stuck upon removal?

I use federal target pistol bulk ammo.

The brass has a narrower diameter..
