What else do I need for my PCR?
« on: May 23, 2017, 09:12:11 AM »
Well I've currently got it down to bare frame except for the hammer and mag release. I plan to polish all of the contact surfaces and so far these are the only parts I have:

SRS-1 https://cajungunworks.com/product/srs-1-short-reset-system/

INST-DC Decocker Installation Kit https://cajungunworks.com/product/inst-dc-dcer-install-kit/

Not even sure what the Decocker install kit is for. I was able to take down the whole gun with my regular punches.

What else short of a race hammer?

Edit: For now I will be using a SP01 smooth trigger.

I have a safety model, but from what I can tell, the srs changes the firing pin lifter to improve pull. Without changing a disconnector, the static position of trigger on reset will be the same. You could add the RRK-2 to improve this. Again, I'm more familiar with the safety models. You could call CGW David is good at answering questions.

The decocker install kit is just a nice punch and a correctly sized slave pin to make things easier.

SRS-1 https://cajungunworks.com/product/srs-1-short-reset-system/

I installed that kit into my Cold War 75B since I wanted to keep the spur hammer. Happy as a clam :)

INST-DC Decocker Installation Kit https://cajungunworks.com/product/inst-dc-dcer-install-kit/

The starter punch is meant to get he trigger pin and the hammer pins out. If you haven't taken the hammer pins out yet -- don't unless you're going to swap the hammer. The slave pin makes putting the sear cage back in a lot easier, highly recommended:

I like the old style trigger best, have it in my PCR and 97BD:

Definitely get a floating trigger pin and reduced power trigger spring, have both in my 75B as well:

Edit: Forgot -- also get at least one of these: https://cajungunworks.com/product/15-lifter-spring/ , in case the original gets lost or broken during reassembly...
