I've been thinking about getting a .22 for several months now. Recently, I've decided to purchase a 455 Varmint but every local dealer is sold out, at least with the .22 variant. What is the likelihood, 455 supplies are drying up in preparation for the 457 release? I'm looking manage my expectations.
Thanks.

455 Varmint's in .22 can still be found but you'll probably have to purchase online and have delivered to your FFL. Also check the classifieds in the forum...you never know, maybe someone is looking to part with one :)

I don?t think the 455 will be replaced by the 457 as the latter is an alternative type of operating action being offered. The rifles probably arrive in batches over the course of the year just like the pistols.

Thanks for the info. Definitely makes sense.

Keep looking: found a private party sale 452 Varmint last week. Only shot 5 rounds but it's going to be a great shooter.
