Any comments on converting to SAO with Shadow2 left thumb safety. Need to have similar feel to 1911s. Thanks jrent

Just chasing a dream IMO.
Yeah a SAO, CZ trigger sure feels reallll nice. But not high end 1911 nice. lol
The day I find a CZ trigger combo that feels like my DW Discretion..........yeah..... lol

Shadow 2 safety will not fit a SP-01. Too wide.
-
And I totally didn't get that you meant feel like a 1911 in regards to safety, not trigger. Lmao

You can put the right side extended safety on, here's a link to CZ USA for $88. Great option for left handed shooters. I've got an extra one I never installed if you want a good deal send me a PM.

Here's some info about a thumb safety that would probably do what you want, and converting an SP01 to SAO is pretty simple, too. Many of us have done it for various purposes.

Parts should be here monday for my conversion to SAO on my sp01 shadow.

There is a heavier safety detent spring you can get that will make the safety a stronger click but it is a pain to get in the frame.

Hiya ,well joedirt I do hope your experience with the conversion fairs well. Even with expert help my trigger was never right, the worst was having to push it forward very often, just to reset. Be well.

Yeah getting the trigger return spring in the tiny hole of the flat sao trigger was a pain. Had to cut down the leg and bend it up to get it seated far enough to get the trigger and spring back in. I put a TS sao hammer in since it was cheaper than a match hammer. May try a heavier TRS for a more positive reset. It feels good now, just have to fit the safety to the sear.
