A couple of years ago I almost bought a CZ97 on gun broker for about $400. It was one without front serrations.
New ones seem to go for about $700 give or take. What is the going price on used 97s? Are there really any deals for new ones?
-
With most CZ's, it's all about timing. They import them in batches so that has an effect on street pricing for sure.
-
I paid right at $800 out the door for my brand new CZ-97BD. That was a couple of months ago, FWIW. I had no issue with the price because I never, ever see them locally. But it just so happened one was in stock.

I paid $740 shipped for my used but in very good condition 97 BD a couple months ago. Might have found one cheaper if I was patient, but I'm not ::), so when this became available, I jumped on it, and I have no regrets. It's an awesome pistol in stock trim, the addition of a CGW Pro Package just made it awsomer ;D. From the research I did before snagging mine, around $700 seemed typical for the B, add $100 for the BD. Later.

I was in our local gun shop a few days ago and noticed a new 97BD priced at $740 I think that is what I paid for mine about a year ago.
-
Why are BDs more desirable than Bs?
-
They're not, it just comes down to personal preference, safety vs. decocker. I'm guessing, but the BD is a bit more complicated, and I suspect not as popular, so the price is higher. That said, if I could have found one new for $740, I'd have been all over it. Not that I would have, down side to living in the boonies, my LGS has a VERY limited selection, and not a CZ in the bunch. If I travel a bit, I get a better selection, but still very limited on CZ's, maybe 3 or 4 models, tops, and mostly polymer. Later.

I'm spoiled. There is a local store with every single CZ available in stock. The place is great. It's like a CZ only store.
I should check them out to see what they have.
-
I bought my 97bd for $779 back in July of 2018.
-
The BD comes with factory installed Tritium night sights, so the price is higher.
-
I tried to be patient and waited...and waited.
Looked at various online retailers and put myself on the contact list for a BD. Finally found a retailer and had it shipped to my favorite FFL. I should have ordered 2 ;)
After I ordered the first one, in short succession, I was contacted by 3 other retailers indicating they had one in stock. Luckily, the one I bought was still the lowest price.
Good luck

I got one online for 640 a couple of months back. Nib. The grip needs palm swells, but size wasn?t an issue and I have medium thumbs. Wish there was an extended safety. Specifically gunbroker. Keelyllc was the seller if I recall.

$609.99 on Gunbroker just last week. It is now in my hand this week. ;D

This place sold three back to back right after mine.
Brand new, the target in the box is dated Jan. 2019

I paid about $500 for a used 97b a few months ago. It was a 2016 production gun in pretty nice condition, with two magazines.

Hiya and I thank trippplP for the thread, my guess he found one by now. But after posting my CZC Accu 97b here and a few price drops found it a new home in Louisiana, and remind folks that current and average prices often go out the window when shopping used and the good deals are there if out looking. I doubt any store owner will take a loss on a sale, and does not matter if the gun waits many months for a buyer. Where a private seller is needing to sell more often. So compare mods, accessories, who did custom adds etc to make sure you find what you want, and that of course includes a good price. Be well.

Found a 97BD at the Cabelas Library for 549$. Lnib 2018 thought it was a good deal so I jumped on it.
-
Found my 97B at gun show in NC for $619 plus tax last weekend. Trying to find time to go have some fun. Feel very lucky to find diamond amoung bags of coal at show.

What about a value on a factory glossy blue version? 1999 NIB with all factory papers and target and box and all...
-

-

-
Gun show Tampa Fl. $699 for a new BD..was stickered $799
-
09/02/2019 Paid $779.99 for a CZ97BD. Toss in $66.30 tax, still makes it worth it. Rare'er then hen's teeth to snag one in the shop. I'm a kick the tires, slam the doors, kinda guy and there's nothing like finally holding one in my hands.

I picked up my 97BD today. Area LGS had one listed for $799. I found an online deal for $699, $710 with shipping and $30 transfer fee with my local FFL guy for a total of $740. When I saw the online price I jumped on it.

I paid $749 for my BD from Oak Hill Guns. Plus I got a free pen.
-
A few weeks ago bought a lightly used 97B locally on Armslist for $600, including 6 mags and replacement aluminum grips plus the box and tools. Figured that was a real good deal-- had been looking for one for a year.
-
I paid $669 for mine. At the gunshow. Stupid politicians might change that soon. Meeting Monday here in Va. Talking about banning high cap mags. AND ASSAULT WEAPONS. Guess they'll need to take the cops guns too, since their the only ones with full auto capable assault weapons. Our sports semi auto rifles doesn't shoot in full auto. I wish they'd punish the criminals and leave us law abiding citizens alone.
-
I paid 625 for my very lightly used 97 BD but ranging on the model, they can be had from $550 to $700 if. If your mil/leo the prices are even better with confirmed delivery.
