As the title states, where's the hammer love?
I would love to see a sub compact DA/SA with a poly frame.
Anyone else?
The Rami P fits the bill, but it has the frame bulge issue.

Not a bad idea, and, before I spent some time with the striker guns, I would be longing for a subcompact hammer gun also. But, after carrying a Kahr PM-40 for 6 years, and shooting the P-10C and F, I like the striker guns for concealed carry. My bet is that CZ won't produce both designs and will instead concentrate on the P-10S, and I'm OK with that. I'm getting one as soon as I can find one. My bet is that the P-10S is simply much better for CZ from a business standpoint than the more complicated hammer gun.
And, after I mount a red dot on it (temporarily), I will try the P-10S at 100 yards. But no one will ever hear about it...unless I am able to shoot a sub 12" five shot group with it. But I would try that with a P-05, too.

I did make that Photoshop P-05 Banshee, (same theme as Phantom), and CZ-USA liked it, called it "fun sized", but the actual chance of it being produced in a market pretty overloaded with compact pistols isn't very good. While there are those who would love one, the market research most likely doesn't show enough bang for the buck.

You wonder if it?s just to difficult to get the timing of a sub compact hammer fired gun working to be reliable. You think of the variables involved with getting the slide to cycle reliably and have enough force to cock a hammer changes when you chop 1/2 an inch off the muzzle. People have complained abound sub compact 1911 reliability for years. There are many more striker fired subcompacts that hammer offerings. Just thinking out loud. David

CZ has not shown much interest in sub-compacts. For a long time, it was just the Rami. Now, we have the P10S and if you look at the entire P10 line up, you?ll see many flavors of the compacts and full size guns but with only one offering for a sub-compact. The compact has been CZ?s bread and butter service pistol size, with full size coming in a close #2. Competition guns support the full size market well too.
Sub-compacts, not so much though for CZ. I?m hopeful that with a US based factory that this might change. When CZ is selling to the world out of a single factory, it?s tough to squeeze a compact line of pistols into the chain when the world more or less wants compact or full sized service pistols. I?m really hoping that the US factory can make that easier to do since they would not be competing for line space with pistols intended for foreign agencies.

the P-05 Banshee would be a perfect competitor to the Springfield XDe pistols

I would love a slightly slimmed down P-07 with 10 or 12 round mag capacity.

Has anyone noticed that the P10S mags come with P07 cuts? Maybe there is hope out there for a P07S or P05. Not likely but hard to explain the P07 style cuts on the P10S mags other than maybe for production efficiencies.

I did notice that, and back by popular demand, the P-07S Banshee concept.

Seems like cz markets more police/military oversea contracts and domestic gun competitions to put alot of effort into a small concealed carry gun.

I would love to see a P-05/P-07S. We can only dream

Pretty much hit it on the head. I wonder if CZ-USA's production will extend to the P-07/9 series, if that happens then I could imagine a P-05 since I'd imagine it'd appeal to conceal carrying Americans the most.

They are short sided, I think they would sell a boatload. Only thing like it in poly frame is the clunky Springfield XDE. I think CZ could do better.
Single stack grip to alllow 3 fingers, thin, 10 rounds or better. CZ needs:
PO7 sub
Single stack
Pocket gun
Phantom compact

Yes! Had an XDE, didn't like it as a shooter at all.

I had one as well and wasn't fond of it. Very short relationship with that one.

I'm not sure the Banshee concept pistol would work being as short as it is, would need some serious doubled up recoil springs, but it would be nice if an engineer from there took an interest in the project...hint, hint, hint...

I actually find my P-07 pretty easy to conceal (I usually carry AIWB) and I've gotten away from sub-compacts. I think there is a point at which prioritizing 'ease of carry' over shootability isn't such a good idea. But would I buy a P-05 in a heartbeat if it ever came out? Heck yeah, as long it had a 4-finger grip (even if this was just an extended baseplate).
