I didn't really see many images of cz roland specials on the web so I figured I'd upload mine. This was my first cz and I got it as a regular black model with the cgw pro kit already installed in a trade. I traded the slide for another slide with a dpp and threaded barrel and just kind of went from there. Parts/mods as follows:
Full cgw pro kit
Stainless steel guide rod and 15# spring
Optic cut by cgw and dpp
Cerakote by sagisi customs
Primary machine comp
Stipple by a local South louisiana gunsmith
I have the x300 too but it isn't on in this picture but I think you get the idea. Won a local pistol plate match with this guy and it moved me up from c class to b class. Anyway just thought I'd share, the only other thing I could think to add to this is a mag well and I may not sure yet, if anyone has a recommendation for p09 mag wells I'll check them out. P07 with CGW upgrade, RMR, 21 round mag

That will do folks.
Let the man be proud of his pistol. If you don't like it, keep it to yourself.
Thread edited to remove the snipers.

Nice job on the P09. I?d love to do something like that to mine some day. The P07 is pretty cool too.
-
Hard to calculate total cost but cajunized p09 is 700-800, slide work was like 350 including cerakote and 300 for optic. 75 for stipple, 90 for comp and 175 for x300
-
Mine has the DI RMR, milled slide, cerakoted after milling, back up iron sights, extended magazine and TLR1 light. No comp. though. Shooting the P09 9MM is one of those guns where I have to keep using the sound and the holes in the target to convince myself it really is going bang. Now my .40 S&W P07 might could benefit from a comp (sort of like shooting a .357 magnum 4" revolver) but I just won't replace the barrel in something that shoots so well.

Nice looking gun! I did something similar with my P10, but haven't added a comp yet.

My p09 shoots great without the comp but if a gun can shoot flatter and faster without sacrificing reliability why not? I will say the comp would make it Jam with freedom hollow points but those rounds are loaded so light most guns with comps jam. I put in a cgw steel recoil guide rod and 15# recoil spring as well. All 115 grain training ammo I've used has run 100% but the comp really shines with hotter stuff nato spec or +p

I will also add my voice to second Yankchef on ammo selection. My practice ammo is NATO spec and my carry ammo is 124gn +p+. The comp works great with hotter ammo.

Very nice, sir - what does the term "Roland Special" mean?

Was wondering the same thing. Thanks for the clarification. I have a close roland p09 just no compensator.

Always interested in what others do to make these stock pistols their own unique creations. Very nice work here.

Very nice fellas, very nice indeed!

I've never been crazy about putting an optic on the 07/09 guns just because the retaining pin gets in the way of cutting the optic lower into the gun. :/ Still.. You can't deny how much fun they are to shoot. Adding the comp is largely unnecessary but if you're going to have the light just sitting out there anyway, why not put the comp on and take whatever advantage you can!

The performance difference from the pm comp is very noticeable. I can get follow up shots extremely quickly and shot sub 3 second 5 plate racks in a competition with a presentation with this setup
