Title: CZ 1012 Assembly help
Post by: AggieCZ on March 26, 2019, 12:01:12 AM
OK...I'm a shotgun newbie....many cz pistols...even a few rifles...but first shotgun.

So I bought the 1012...beautiful gun...just wish I could get it assembled.  All the pics show the bolt in the open/back position to assemble...mine is in the forward position...can't seem to pull it open...is there a trick to this?  I would love to get it assembled and out to the range so I could give a newbie review on it.

Thanks for any assistance.

CZ got back to me via email....turns out this was a known thing that happened when they shipped some early guns...which is why they now ship with a block to prevent the bolt from going forward now...I just had to use something thing (long wooden cotton swab) to maneuver the strut inside down while I pulled the bolt back...after that it was easy.

Anyways...hopefully I'll make it out to shoot soon, and will leave a review.

Just curious how you are liking your new 1012? I am looking at that one and the 712 target for a trap gun and do not find much information. Thanks

Thanks for getting back with the solution to your problem--that's what makes this board so useful.

I was looking at getting a 712 and then the 1012 came out.  I saw one at Athena Gun Club's CZ day.

I still haven't gotten one yet.

BTW...I'm an Ag as well....'79 (on-time).  Gig 'em!
