Picked up my optics ready subcompact today. This is my first polymer CZ and all I can say is WOW. I absolutely love it. I own two P-01s and a Rami BD, I thought that was the end all set up. Shooting 300 rounds through my P10s today changed my mind. I walked out of the range to find myself purchasing a P10C. Only thing that sucks is I have to wait 31 days to pick it up thanks to the wonderful laws of NJ. I found my new go to, I will be using the ?S? as my off duty. Anyone considering this pistol or waiting to get one I personally think it is well worth the wait. Now on to the next battle finding a quality AIWB holster.

Congrats. I love mine.

Welcome to the addiCZion. :) I was VERY pleasantly surprised by the S myself.

Hoping to get one this summer assuming it?s as small and comfy as I?m hoping it is. Glad to see your happy with it thus far!

Good to hear. I'm looking forward to handling one if/whenever they arrive at me LGS. I'm a confirmed hammer guy, but the S is very tempting....

Hiya sfrost24688 and thanks for your thread. Ya mention your gun will be an off duty. Are you LEO,military etc? And if so what does an avg citizen have to wait for a handgun in NJ ? A conceal carry permit affect the waits? Congrats on the new platform, heard good things, haven't tried one. Have heard in our forum that cz should consider using optics compatable verses optics ready, related to the lack of avail plates to run the optics, and needing to get on a pre order list thats long. Didn't sound like optics was high on your list yet. All look forward to your range report in a few weeks time, be well.

Nice! How does it compare size-wise to the Glock 26?
I really like the idea of the "S" but it's kinda chunky -- this is an era of 12 rounds in a near-pocket-pistol after all :)
-
I'm not ready for an S yet, but might be later this year. I'm just now getting comfortable with the P-10C and have carried Kahr PM-40, CM-9, and PM-9 in the past and am looking forward to just a compact in place of a subcompact for a change.

How would you compare the recoil impulse of the S vs C?

I bet you the S has a snappy recoil. That's why I like longer guns, not only for competition, but they are so smooth to shoot.
I wish I was 7 feet tall to carry my F all day long 8)
Nice little gun you have there Squonk.

The S recoil was not bad at all, really, hard to tell a difference for me.
-
With a lower slide mass, I would think it could be lower when using the +2 mag.

Still can't get to the range yet til my wrist heals up more. As far as dry fire practice, the S is a sweet little handgun. I will agree though, I would also prefer to carry a full size metal handgun. Just not practical until I give in to the prospect of wearing suspenders and carrying inside the waistband. I prefer OWB with an untucked button down, so, length of barrel is also important. I've also tried shoulder holsters. Don't care for those either.
I am still going back and forth: pocket carry vs. belt. Still not decided, but, I am leaning more toward pocket carry. I'm a big dude, I can pocket carry no problem without printing. Shirt tail covering pocket helps as well.

Sorry for the delayed response, in NJ you can only buy one pistol every 30 days. If you are Law Enforcement like myself you can buy 3 pistols same day if you do not leave the store. I purchased a Sig 365 and the P10S and walked out of the store down to the range ( which is on the same property) and I walked back in to get the p10C when I was surprised to find out that since the FFL already submitted the paperwork I had to wait 30 days to pick it up. If i did it in all one transaction I could of left with all 3 at the same time. In NJ you have to apply for pistol permits (thats to purchase not to conceal carry). In NJ if you do not have a reason such a restraining or along with threats you will never get a concealed carry permit, unless your Law Enforcement which allows you to carry up to 17 rounds per magazine or if you are a firearms instructor and that will let you conceal carry but only allowed to carry 10 round magazines. I am loving my P10S my only complaint is my pinky rests between the mag base plate and the grip of the pistol so when I shoot it i get a nice pinch that eventually turns into a sore pinky. I wish CZ would make something comparable size wise and capacity to the Sig 365 but with the CZ reliability. My gf really likes the P10S so I may throw an optic on it and let her shoot it. I put a total of 300 rounds through the pistol so far and it has functioned flawlessly as expected.

Recoil with the S i would say is comparable to my P01 honestly. The S shoots so nice. Size wise compared to the glock 26 its a tad bigger the glock 26 on can only get two fingers on the 2x4. Only complaint with glock is the blocky grip. The glock 26 holds 10 while the P10S holds 12. The P10s is a great feeling pistol. The slide is super easy to rack in a hurry having serrations that do not hurt your hands but definitely have enough grip on the front and rear of the slide is spot on perfect. You can release the magazine without having to readjust your hand huge plus for me.

Excellent, thanks for the short review.
I was thinking it would be just a tad taller than the G26 with the two extra rounds. I was hoping it would be tall enough for a medium glove to get all fingers on the grip.

It IS easy as all get out to shoot - did function test with reloaded "duty" ammo at the range today after spending most of the day with the BREN, 11 yards standing with 124gr XTP loads.

I wear a medium sized glove and it fits my hand like CZ built the pistol for me to shoot. I can't say enough about this pistol. I am currently looking into a new trigger shoe as this one does pinch my finger now and then.

Very nice armoredman. Can't wait to get to the range with mine.

I didnt find the S to be snappy at all. It's softer and less flippy than a G19. My only gripe was trigger pinch and a bit of pinch on my right pinky from getting caught between the frame and mag base.
Trigger pinch was resolved with the HBi trigger, still haven't figured out the pinky pinch though.
-
I didn't really notice a pinky pinch. I have had that with other pistols and I was kind of worried about that with this one, considering that my finger rides in that spot as well. Not going to complain, of course!

Just curious - have you had reliability issues with your P365?
Also curious to hear any other thoughts you have comparing these two micros.

Wow so sorry I didnt respond sooner, I just noticed your reply. I had the typical Sig 365 issues broken firing pin, and a good amount of failure to ejects. It sucks because the 365 with the 12 round mage feels great, its amazingly accurate and it is so comfortable to carry you forget its even there. I refuse to carry it though due to all of the issues I had with it. The P10s is amazing it is a little clunky to conceal carry but I am a skinny guy who wears form fitted clothes. As far as other micro pistols go I never shot any but I held a couple at the local gun store. I can honestly say the only micro I personally like as far as feel goes is the 365.
