I purchased 5x of the fab defense mags and so far all good with the 2x that I have used

CitizenPete did a torture test of the FAB mags. Search old threads here. They didn't hold up.

Czechpoint/CSA is coming out with transparent polymer mags soon, they're featured in AKOU's latest VZ58 vid above:

Wow! Pretty sure the base plate and follower are Czechpoint/US-made parts... Many +1 baseplates for pistols include an allen key screw, and this new polymer mags appear as if they'd definitely benefit with that too.

But when considering that Vz58 mags were ~50 years ahead of AR15 mags insofar as reliability that's pretty remarkable (AR15 mags really weren't all that reliable until mid 2000s/well after the Iraq invasion).

Keep an eye on gunbroker. Used, but vg+ to excellent condition, czech-made (Dtechnik and CSA) VZ58s have been going for under $900 for a few recent auctions.

I held the line against my AK and AR buddies for over 10 years now, through the D-Tech to CSA years, no threaded muzzle and bayo lug to having both, supposed lack of mags, lack of US parts, etc. Rob Ski is one of their idols! This is fabulous! I can rest now. I’m glad I listened to RSR and kept my last instead of selling them! Back to parts and ammo....
