Sent my 'new' PreB off to Primary Arms to get it nitrided. They did an admirable job. This is the best finish on the market - not paint, but the treatment you get on your P07/09 slides. Amazing stuff and getting the whole gun like this is very cool. It is nicer than the pic - very 3D - and a deep deep charcoal almost black. I also did a tad bit of work under the trigger guard and smoothed the bottom edge of the beavertail to take the bite off but still keep my fat hands from getting hammer bite.
One warning. CLEAN the slide throughly when it comes back. My gun was locked up for a while with some grit in the muzzle end.

Looks like it came out well. Good move removing the edge from the bevertail, CZ should really start doing something similar from the factory on new production CZs.
Thank you for the pic.

Were the hammer, safety and slide release levers done also? I'd like to have those with a more durable finish that the factory parts. I've cold blued my slide release and safeties and couple times on that Compact (in/out of the kydex holster quite a bit.)

No I left the hammer and levers in the blue. I like the contrast and if I ever replaced the slide stop it would be in blue.
