i got competition hammer (CZUB) and competition disconnector (CZUB, zero)
9# hammer spring, 11# recoil spring, light TRS, light FPS
All other parts are stock and unpolished, 600 rounds through gun so far
SA is fantastic @1 lb 12 oz
but DA is around 7 lb. i would like to have it around 5 lb.
is there a way to lighten trigger pull in DA?

I got my DA just under 7# with an 11# hammer spring in my SP-01.
Read through the entire "Smoothing the action" sticky at the top of this page. The "How To Tune/Smooth the P07/P09" had some insights as well. It may not drop the actual weight much, but smoothing the trigger stroke will make it feel lighter. One spot my trigger bar was really gritty were the grooves on the underside where the trigger lifter spring rides. I cleaned up the grooves and tweaked the springs so they rode properly in the grooves. Before, they were pressing out against the frame and riding on the rough edges of the grooves instead of centered inside. I avoid Dremels on flat areas, preferring a fine stone followed by finer grades of wet sandpaper up through 3000 grit taped to glass or a flat stone/file. Smooth and flat is better than smooth and wavy. Pins get the same treatment but I try not to touch the outer portions, just where parts rotate.

Don't be surprised if you get light strikes with a 7# main spring...

not even 1 light strike in 2000-2500 rounds fired with 9# spring. maybe this one will work with softer firing pin spring and extended firing pin

in the mean time dry fire with what you have, 7# is manageable and can be very pleasant.
it does take practice but 7# is not awful on the DA

Do some polishing on the trigger components to further lower your DA. I have an 11.5# hammer spring in my Shadow 2 and my DA is at 5# 4.3 oz while SA is 1# 9.9 oz.

Interesting fact:
S2 with 7# mainspring:
Fiocchi primers 100/100 in DA - I declare g2g for a match.
S&B primers 1/20 DA - :(
funny that S&B are so much harder to ignite.

Did just a tiny bit of polishing.
With 7# mainspring (federal and fiocchi primers only) (light TRS, FPS, SS, competition hammer and disco) results are:
DA breaks 4-5 LBS
SA breks just hair under 1 LBS
now SA is scary light for me. What do I do to INCREASE SA but at the same time keep DA in 4-5 LBS? extra power TRS and Tanfoglio SS? other ideas?

Whatever you add in SA, will also add in DA (or so I believe).
Try Tanfoglio sear spring, but not sure how much it would add up..
Since you have already polished, why not check where you stand with the previous 9# main spring?

If you are shooting IPSC then your DA will fail and you’ll be bumped to Open.
You don’t need a 5lb DA
Robin Sebo does not recommend going any lighter than his 10lb main spring (that’s what I run for a 6lb 13oz DA).
I’ve tried a 11.5lb spring from CGW for much the same result. The 8.5lb Cajun spring dropped the DA to right on 5lb and would only reliably set off Federals. It’s not worth the risk of either light strikes or failing gun check.

i have installed tanfo sear spring (4 coils) and extra power TRS.
DA is +5# ;D (IPSC prod legal :P)
SA is 1.5-2# ;D
to install tanfo ss i got to make slave pin from Q-tip, than i took sear with spring in a sear housing.

The hammer spring will affect both the DA and SA pull weights.
Polishing does help DA but it's most dramatically affected by the hammer spring.
I go with the blue 11# spring from Cajun on every one of my builds.
I also pair it with an extended firing pin to ensure it will ignite everything. I don't like to build guns that require certain primers.
A 7# hammer spring I would personally never go with.
Federal primers are the easiest to ignite...but again having to only stock certain primers is a pain.
What I would do:
1. Polish
2. Put in the blue 11# spring from CGW
3. Get an extended firing pin from CGW
My guns are usually 4-6# on DA and hovering around 2# on SA
You could also just give CGW a call and they'd set you up or tell you what you could expect from their parts. They know this stuff really well.

I live in EU, so Cajun parts are not avaliable (for normal prices).
I also dont like guns built for one type of primers only, but where I live fiochhi is the most afordable, I buy them in 12.000 pcs pack.
Fiochhi in EU is what Federal is in USA (the softest)

Hammer spring affects SA pull weight very little as the hammer is already all the way back.
