About a year ago I noticed that Gunbroker had a few compacts (SKU 99041). They were in the $600 range and since I was new to CZ if thought I would prefer the lighter P-01 with the grooves in the back straps. I ended up buying a 91199. Later on this past April I saw someone was trying to get $800 for a 041, and I though "good luck". That gun got no bids just like I figured it would. Yesterday, another 041 showed up. Again, I figured the seller might net around $800 tops. I WAS WRONG! Top winning bid was $1325. All I can say is WOW! Us Fan Boys do love those CZs.

It is nuts, I waited and found a used 21 for under 500 and put less in mine than what used ones are going for now. Half tempted to sell it. (https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190615/9cfec0c45ede800147d72badc12d2b30.jpg)

I think the words "discontinued" or "limited run" open up our wallets without hesitation! LOL

Yeah, I get that. But, I?d never drop that kind of money on one of these. I?ve seen Short Rails go for that price

The exact same gun that sold this morning was sold on April 29th by the same broker for $835. I e-mailed him and asked why it was up for sale again. He said the buyer in April never paid of picked the gun up. I noticed in the pictures that the gun had what appeared to be pitting on the frame. The seller said it was just oil. Hmmmm. I hope it wasn't a return and resale because of imperfections. $1325 is a high price to pay, I just hope the gun is everything the buyer wanted and expected. That's the problem with internet sales these days. You are at the mercy of a sellers honest description. I have had someones idea of "perfect" not really match mine in the past. (Thank goodness, not when it came to guns).

I've got two of them NIB... if that auction is legit, they're both going to be rehomed soon.

I?ve got one stashed away in the safe as well. I bought a used one the other day. I?ll probably end up keeping that one but the safe queen, I?m with you it will be rehomed also

Both you guys are in trouble now. I bet the PMs to buy your 041s are flowing in already!

I still have a NIB 99021 and 99041. I missed out the stainless steel version since I was away from the forums when my son was born. I guess it gives me something to be on the hunt for, or that he owes me one to complete my collection

Well once again a 99041 on Gunbroker sold for close to the $1000 marker. ($992) I can't believe the prices this model is bringing. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for CZ having the reputation as a quality, and therefor more expensive gun that people are willing to pay for, but WOW! You would think the upper crust management at CZ might consider another "limited run" of the 99021 or 99041. Did I just hear a maybe??????

At the time, I felt like I paid about as much as anybody was willing... Now looking back it seems that I did really good to get it when I did.
Even then though I wasn’t feeling that I had over paid, especially since it quickly and decisively became my favorite semi-auto. Doesn’t quite “grab the magic” like my 586 but, all in all, the 99041 is pretty much my ideal pistol.
