I started out years ago with an early dTecnics VZ58 with the grey finish and wood chip furniture. Great fun little rifle and my only complaint was the rather short buttstock. So eventually I sold it and have regretted it ever since. Now looking at all the variations offered by Czech Point I decided on there Tactical Model mainly because of the AR style collapsable stock. Just picked that one up today and it's basically a modernized version of this great platform.
Which models do you guys prefer?

I?ve got the CQB model and love it, even more so since getting my LH charging handle and extended bolt release lever (no pics of those two since their install, however).

I was thinking about the CQB with it's shorter barrel as it has to handle beautifully. I too bought a bolt release which makes a lot of sense for faster manipulation. These modern more up to date versions of the VZ58 are selling as fast as Czech Point can get them built.

D-Technic, tactical model ;)

Just ordered a CQB today, can't wait till it comes in! Was an easy choice since it was all they had.....

These two items have already made a significant difference to mine, as I’m sure they will to any and all. Now to make it back to the range!

I don't get the point of the CQB model -- I think folks are best served to go w/ either the 12.5" pistol or the 16.5" rifle.
The 14.5" has all of the drawbacks that apply to the 15.5" milsurp barrels insofar as pinning or silver soldering the muzzle device (w/ silver solder it's REALLY easy to get it too hot and ruin the temper on the barrel, though the Czechpoint listings indicate it's pinned).
The selection of muzzle devices are one of the best things about VZ58 and the 14.5" w/ that long flash hider does not allow for you to experience the best of the VZ58. And since it was first built as a rifle, you likely CANNOT convert it to pistol (UNLESS it was imported as a pistol and then converted into a rifle -- definitely something to check w/ Czechpoint on).
