Title: Picked up a 2006 CZ 40B and I love it.
Post by: QuickDrawMcgraw on June 23, 2019, 04:03:43 PM
Recently picked up this 2006 dated CZ 40B
Took it out Saturday to shoot and it definitely my best shooting 40S&W guns (G23, P226, P09, RAMI P)

I picked up a couple MecGar 12 and 14 rd magazines and they worked flawlessly in it.

Goes well with my 2075 RAMI P in 40S&W

Thanks for sharing!  How is the recoil?

Not bad at all - it isn't soft shooting like a 45 or anything, but it is definitely softer shooting and more flat shooting than all my other 40s - guessing because of the size and weight (it isn't heavy, but definitely fills your hand very well), but you still notice it isn't a 9mm you are shooting.  I've never been a huge fan of 40 - but for some reason I keep buying them either because I got a good price or just a cool find.

After I had seen the Forgotten Weapons youtube video about the Colt 40 Z - I had to try to get one of those or a 40B.  Still on the hunt for the Colt version, but honestly I probably will never get one because of the price and already picking up this guy.

I also bought one recently. It fits in nicely with the rest of the CZ .40-cal family. I'll probably look for a 40P at some point to get the decocker version.

Excellent!  I am currently running a CZ 97 and other usual CZ suspects.  Thinking about putting the CZ 75 .40 slide on a SP-01 frame.  Not sure whether it will be as sweet as the 97, but I'll give a try next week.

CZ 40 is hard to come by but would be great to add to my collection.

Cheers,

p.s.  Had my eyes on a new CZ under development.  Code name:  Catastrophe :D

LOL nice!

Ya I CZ 97 is on my list - my local lgs has the B and BD available.  Good prices too compared to others in my state, but it is either a CZ 97 or a Dillon 550C next...so who knows.

I have a 40B I bought used and shot one box through it. I thought it would feel somewhere between my SAR K2 45 and a Rami. I decided i hate the snappyness of the 40S&W round. I guess it will go back to my LGS.(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20191229/c6e122defb30fbb846df5ee80bbcecbe.jpg)
