Title: Red dot height options for skeletonized stock question
Post by: Glitch on August 20, 2019, 08:55:03 AM
I am a new owner of a 805 carbine, and just ordered an original skeletonized stock from the Czech Republic, and was wondering if anyone knows what height optics need to be at with that stock? I've heard it lowers your check weld and normal AR height optics will be to high. I hear you need to run as low as you can get for red dots/optics if you use the original issued stock anyone know if this is true/ What do you run? I like the look of the original a hell of a lot better than the collapsible stock with riser that was shipped to the states.

I was thinking of ordering an MRO with a low mount or something similar that will allow for a proper cheekweld.

Thanks for any info you can provide.

You heard correctly.   8)

Because I run full-size Troy BUIS, I use an absolute co-witness GG&G mount with my Aimpoint T-1.  Run MicroBUIS, and you could run something even lower to the rail.
