I have seen some 97s running 45 Super loads. Great fun when shooting pins, but I have had bad experiences converting 1911s to this type of pressure. It results in about 25-30K Psi, effectively doubling the pressure and muzzle energy.
Is anyone pushing 97s to this extreme or running very hot loads? What are you using for ammo or heavy bullets?

IF you are going to push ANY .45 ACP Semi-Auto Pistol to .45 Super Pressures and Velocity, I recommend using a Sprinco or DPM Recoil System with an 18 lb Recoil Spring.
I also recommend that you use Starline .45 Super Brass.
I have occasionally converted my older 1992 EAA Witness to .45 Super, using a Sprinco 10mm Witness Recoil Spring Buffer Guide Rod and a Wolff 18 lb Recoil Spring.
Ammunition was loaded into Starline .45 Super Brass. Bullets were Remington Surplus 185 grain JHP's.
Not sure about how you would go about converting a Cz97B to .45 Super, but I'm sure it can be done.
