Title: Install my kadet 2 kit having issues
Post by: sfost24688 on August 22, 2019, 05:37:30 PM
Just curious if anyone has had any issues installing their kadet 2 kit on a CZ 75 P-01. It slides on about 3/4 on the way the you have to press really to get it back all the way. Once it’s back the slide release lever that comes with the kadet kit won’t push all the way in and it’s very stiff.

You need to file the bottom of the barrel or the slide according to the instructions.  File slowly and keep test fitting.

On my sp01 shadow it took lots of filing . Test fitted it on another sp01 and it fit with no filing I guess they are all different

Sounds to me like it needs to be fitted. I had to remove material on the rear end of my Kadet kit to get it to slide all the way back on my SP-01.

Thank you guys. I am going to read the instructions and see what needs to be done. I just jumped into it thinking ahh it’s a slide it will slide right on no issues.

Keep in mind that it’s really not a slide assembly but an upper with a slide within. So once the upper fits like a normally seated slide the actual slide (bolt) needs to be pulled back to the little witness mark in order to seat the stop pin fully.
The instructions will show this more clearly, as well as the possible 3 places where a little bit of filing may be required. The one below the rear of the barrel isn’t quite as easily noted but there is a little ridge built up on one side where it’s intended to be adjusted, if necessary.
