Title: Replaced my 99041 with this P-100
Post by: Mercs on September 01, 2019, 01:59:01 PM
Long story short I used to own steel framed Compact CZ’s but no longer do, missed the way they felt in my hand ever since.  Picked up this Canik P-100 at auction for a song... now I can spend money on upgrades and still only have the money for a OOB 99041 into it. Uses CZ mags including the 16rd with SP01 basepad... awesome

The plan is to make it SAO with CGW hammer, but for now I got the springs, grips, and sights from CGW to make the gun shootable for me and remind me of my beloved steel framed Compact CZ’s

Will report back after range but it feels exactly like it should, if I close my eyes I feel like I’m holding a CZ. After replacing the firing pin spring, block spring, TRS, hammer spring ( CZC 13lb) and polishing a bit, DA trigger is a touch heavier than CZ at 9 lbs, but SA is marvelous and identical to my CZ’s at crisp 4lbs flat with STOCK hammer. The CGW Dawson sights are perfect just like the ones for my P-09 were, I LOVE the sights and oh ya the grips too, thanks to CGW

Congrats.  I enjoy my P100 in .40 as much as any of its stablemates.  Great value.
