I noticed my trigger pin was walking out the other day. no biggie. I bought a floating trigger pin for it. but for the price of this pistol [$1000]it should have already been there IMO. but I was able to push it in with my thumb. so, question 1 is... do I have to worry about the new one walking out? i also picked up a reduced power trigger spring from CGW. question 2...do i "need" to install this? if so, will it help keep the pin in place better than the stock spring?

The CGW Floating Trigger Pin is retained by the tension of the Trigger Return Spring. The factory TRS and the CGW Reduced Power TRS should retain the Floating Trigger Pin exactly the same way. When installed correctly the Floating Trigger Pin should not walk out though it may settle to one side. The asset of the Reduced Power TRS is a reduction of the Double Action pull weight by about 1/2 LB. Unless you wish to reduce the DA pull you can keep the RP-TRS as a back up.

thanks so much tok. i don't feel the need to lighten up the DA. and i like having backup parts as well. i'll keep an eye on it next time i shoot though. just to be on the safe side

CZC doesn't use floating trigger pins.

Sorry to hear that. I've only handled/fired one gun tuned by CZC(Shadow). The trigger felt nice but I was underwhelmed, my diy tuned pre-b match gun is a little smoother. That said, I'm not tuning guns on a production schedule. I've always considered CZC the go to for hard core customizing.
I haven't had an opportunity to fire a Cajun tuned gun, would like to someday to feel the difference if any.
