Title: Any firing +P or +P+ loads in their CZ Scorpion?
Post by: AgentX3 on September 21, 2019, 02:54:25 AM
I have quite a bit of that Federal +P+ 9BPLE ammo. Of course CZ advises that shooting the +P+ will void the warranty however they also say that the +P+ can be shot through  "sparingly" in the CZ pistols. I called CZ and inquired as to whether the same applied to the Scorpion EVO and they answered in the affirmative. I'm also considering using Speer Gold Dot +P ammo as my preferred self-defense load.

Any input on the advisability of using either +P and +P+ in the Scorpion is appreciated. After reading about the buffer failure I'm a little concerned about even using +P ammo more than "sparingly."

I stuff my go to mags with 124 +P HST, havent chrono'd it yet but they provide a good bit of thump, run well, amd shoot better. I also have some PPU 124 grain that SGAMMO had, it is a little hotter and rumor is it'll push 1300fps out of a 8" barrel, also unconfirmed. Ive shot the PPU quite a bit but normally I run S&B or whatever was cheaper that $10/box when I bought it.
