Title: Melting Magazines

Has anyone had any issues with any aftermarket mags melting/distorting? Using a Scorpion Carbine.

Do you have any idea what temperature you subjected your mags to? Being polymer I would think that leaving loaded mags in an automobile in the summer heat for any extended period would have a detrimental effect.

May I ask what brand the aftermarket mags were?  I’m using Manticore Arms and ETS aftermarket mags here in Texas, kinda hot here right now.

Nothing out of the norm...they were kept in the house. First time I used them I noticed the change.

I have a pair of loaded CZ mags in my car all summer and winter long, no feedlip deformation at all... and these are 1st gen mags with cracks in them! I would say that makes them pretty bleep thermally durable.

GF nylon mags like those from PSA should also be just fine, they are made out of the same material as my cars radiator tanks

The first thing I think of is some sort of chemical reaction.
Maybe stored them near paint or thinners??
