Idaho - NO
Heck, Idaho doesn't even have a concealment requirement. ;)
-
MT. - No
-
IL. Mostly no, maybe.
Here are the details on printing. From 430 ILCS 66/5: "Concealed firearm" means a loaded or unloaded handgun carried on or about a person completely or mostly concealed from view of the public or on or about a person within a vehicle.
Does 'completely or mostly concealed from view' include printing? Lets just say I try to be as discrete as possible.
::)

Tennessee - No
Actually have open carry with HCP.
No HCP needed for loaded in vehicle transport.
-
We have open carry here in Utah
But (as far as I know) there's no print with CCW
-
MN permit allows open or concealed so no
-
Washington State- Concealed and/or Open carried allowed (so print all you want)
-
Indiana - No
In Indiana, you can carry any way you like once you have your LTCH. The state just made getting the license free too and offers lifetime licenses. It’s very carry friendly and has laws on the books that protect shooters from any type of liability in a good-shoot SD shooting, prohibits local govts from passing local restrictions and allowing a firearm to be kept in a vehicle when at work.
-
Georgia- No
Open carry or concealed carry with permit here.
-
AZ is open or concealed, no permit required.
-
Kentucky - No

New Mexico is an open carry state without a brandishing law.

NC, no.
We are also an open carry state, but we do have a sketchy catch all law concerning "going armed to the terror of the people (https://nccriminallaw.sog.unc.edu/going-armed-to-the-terror-of-the-people/)."

I've seen videos of guys that have done that. Just because the law says " they can " they March down Main Street with an AK across their chest a 9 mm on their left hip 45 on the right hip and a vest full of magazines. I believe that's the law you're talkin about. I also believe guys like that should be slapped.
Just because you can doesn't mean you should !!

Okay back to the survey..😀

While I agree parading around with more than you may really need to be armed with is a bit of grandstanding but how can you in good conscience say they should be "slapped"? If it's legal then it's their right, period. Plainly not your decision and if you don't like it that's your opinion and until the demonrats have their way we still don't slap people for exercising their legal rights. We need more people exercising and defending OUR rights not less.
With all the perverse behavior allowed in public today seeing a guy lawfully exercising his true constitutional rights is of no concern to me.
-
I was told that the open carry law was enacted to protect people from brandishing violations. Its intention was never to have people walking around with firearms visible to the public. That guy should be slapped.

If the law allows OPEN carry then please do explain why ANYONE should be slapped for operating within that law. Because you don't like it is irrelevant. While we are at it read over what you posted above and see how little sense it makes. If an OPEN CARRY law is enacted then that does certainly allow firearms to be visible to the public. Obviously a CONCEALED CARRY law means firearms are not in view of the public.
-
I think, and I'm probably wrong, the intention of open carry was not to have people open carry firearms, but rather, to protect them from brandishing their guns to an old lady at the grocery store while reaching for milk. Someone walking around with rifles, pistols and mags hanging all over them in public makes us all look bad. I'd gladly slap that jackass.
-
AOC and the squad have the right to say all sorts of stupid things too, but, I sure wish someone would slap the bleep out of them. Slapping arrogant, obnoxious and hateful people just feels right.

Maybe look up the definition of "brandishing" and understand what it means. Reaching for anything anywhere while wearing an openly carried HOLSTERED weapon is not brandishing. Holding, handling, pointing in a threatening manner are examples of brandishing but open carry is not.
You can post how you'd slap that guy from the safety of your keyboard but in reality you know the opposite is true. What makes us look bad and weakens our cause is HOLIER THAN THOU people who only support our rights in their own vision. Being endowed by our creator with certain UNALIENABLE rights and SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED mean exactly that and supporting everyone who LAWFULLY exercises those rights is what makes us strong.

I rate that crowd right up there with cock roaches and the black plague but the simple fact is the screwballs are endowed with the same rights as the rest of us. People need to understand you get the representation you vote for.

Here’s my vision of our “rights”. You do not have the right to make people uncomfortable by wearing a pistol on each hip and an AK strapped to your chest...SLAP. You don’t have the right to get loud in a restaurant and ruin the evening of everyone else...SLAP. You don’t have the right to let your kids or dogs run around screaming and barking at others in public ruining their day...SLAP. These narcissist that we find in public, in their defense, aren’t even aware of their actions. A quick SLAP is a lesson on how to be respectful of all the rights that you and I covet so. A SLAP isn’t necessarily a literal slap in the face. Usually, it’s just walking up to someone and making them aware of how ridiculous that are acting. If that doesn’t work...SLAP! LOL
I’m sorry if anything I’ve said has made you more angry. I don’t have a problem if someone likes tucking in their shirt and wearing their pistol OWB. I do think it makes a statement. I just think that we should all take into account all of the various feeling of others while in public.

Obviously your VISION of our rights is not what the framers intended so they wrote the constitution to keep you at bay. Get over yourself and realize your selective moral outrage is typical liberal narcissism. What you are posting is no different than the nonsense you hear from cortez or the other librofreaks. We are not talking about interrupting some one's dinner or dogs running loose or disturbing the peace at all. You have NO RIGHT to hinder ANYONE who is exercising their own rights LAWFULLY no matter how uncomfortable it makes you PERIOD and you nor anyone else has the right to not be offended or uncomfortable. I could list an entire page here of things I see in public that are disturbing and that I personally think shouldn't be happening but as the law states it those weirdos have the right to be weirdos so such is life. A person carrying one gun or 3 wouldn't even make the list but I bet some of the things I would list you are perfectly fine with.

Okay gang let's stop the nonsense and get back to the survey that I started, of just compiling a list of what states have open carry and what states do not.
Thank You, Doc

We can certainly do that but on the previous page you set up this little thread drift yourself. At any rate in Ohio printing is a non issue as we can carry openly if desired.

Yeah I guess I opened up the can, and now there's worms everywhere.
I guess we'll never change the fact that there are some people in this world that like to take things so far to the extreme , that the laws that are given to us end up being taken away because of those who take it to the extreme, they end up ruining it for everybody else and themselves.
Just because you CAN do something doesn't mean you should.
-
Unfortunately both sides of most issues have to take it to the extreme just to eventually end up in the middle.
-
As far as I know, and according to my CC instructor, here in very anti gun Illinois printing is not illegal. Just keep it covered.
-
far we've got 11 States and there is no printing laws here. Except for CA (aka comifornia)
