Glock has sent out an email that they will be announcing something "legendary" on December 10th.
Wonder what it could be.
Micro 9mm?
.22 cal.?
I wouldn't mind seeing a Gen 5 G21 MOS.

There is some info about a Glock 46. Rotary barrel and decock function. But that was to meet a German Police contract requirements.

perhaps something from this....

As this Glock 46 is very interesting, I wouldn't say it to be "Legendary". I kind of hope for something else, something really new and different.
I would like to think of a carbine. That would be absolutely unprecedented for Glock, and as the market is going toward that direction, to expend on a market that has way too many handguns, where Glock is probably loosing some market share, my hope of a small 9mm carbine would possibly be the next step for Glock.
-
A metal - hammer fired Glock......That would be legendary.

The handgun market space is now so crowded and competitive, I will be stunned if Glock comes up with something "legendary." Maybe legendary in their PR guys' mind.
-
Pure random speculation.... A PCC that uses Glock mags.
-
A blued steel walnut gripped 357 Magnum revolver, that would be a legendary change of direction.

;D ;D ;D
Made me laugh
-
Seeing as the high-capacity micro-9's with optics are all the rage......
-
Maybe it will be a glock that shoots nice groups. You know, like my P09.
-
A longarm.

"Legendary" would be quality sights and a decent trigger. 8)

It will be called a Glockenspiel.

I hope whatever it is, it’s actually legendary or revolutionary as they’ve tried to claim In the past.
-
Maybe, just maybe, they will have a more ergonomic frame.
Since its on the 10th....maybe something in 10mm they haven't done...single stack 10mm?

And here we are... Glock announcement...

GLOCK 44 ....
cal .22 ;D

I was stoked that Glock would come out with something legendary... what a joke. I hate ridiculous marketing.

+1 Yeah.......That seems on a par with Springfield XD's revolutionary 'Grip Zone'
Legendary? Really?
-
Glock respects their civilian customers about as much as HK, they just don't put it out there. A "revolutionary" .22 pistol. ;)
-
10 years too late. Pretty lame.

What should they say?
We are pleased to ...Finally....announce our new boring antiquated .22 for those of you who want both a .22 and a Glock
It not exciting or relevant but we think someone will buy it so here goes.....
Gotta give them credit for trying in my opinion any way.
Someone is excited that Glock has a .22 now and will buy it for sure.

I'm not a fan of Glocks by any means but the 44 isn't a bad option for training.

0.17 BB is cheaper for training. For me G44 is a waste of money... But it is probably good option for Glock lovers.
-
I’m definitely disappointed in glocks release...
-
the marketing is annoying...but it's a product they should have been making for a while. Good for them for finally making it.
The market will dictate if it's a success...
-
Just to be contrary I believe Glock got it right. They are chambering it in the legendary 22 Long Rifle, it's just the pistol that's lacking the status.
-
Meh. To each his own I guess. Far and away to many really great .22's out there that fall into the target pistol or hunting use category. I see the new glock 44 as useless as the Waltherr PPK/S .22 all it's good for is for glock guys to add another glock to their collection.
-
I am also not impressed - CZ had the Kadet and Kadet Kit for a LONG time before Glock finally realized full sized duty pistols in 22lr will sell.
I wish that they HAD brought out a Glock pistol caliber carbine - THAT would be revolutionary IF it wasn't another AR clone.

The carbine would have been the smart move- at least in the US. That’s something I would have been interested in.

I saw this posted by a guy named Matt Benefield on F.B. Sums things up pretty nicely I think.
"So Glock just announced their new Glock 44, chambered in 22 rimfire. I figured now would be a good time to explain Glock and their models....
The Glock 44 is in 22. The Glock 22 is in 40. The Glock 40 is in 10 like the 20. There is no Glock 10, but there is a Glock in 9 aka the 17 and 19 and 26 and 43, not including the 48 - which came out before the 44 - and the 43X, which are the same except for the ways in which they’re different. Actually they’re like the 45, which is a 9, which is the same as a 19x which is actually more like the 17 than the 19. Strangely enough the 45 came before the 44, but 45 came before 9, but not 44, so maybe that’s the logic. If you wanted a 45, you need a 36, a 41, a 30, a 21, or a 21SF, or a 30S, or a 30SF. Of course if you want Glock’s 45 you need a 37, 38 or 39. The 38 isn’t a 38, there are other 38’s. If you want a Glock, definitely get the 19 and maybe a 22 to practice with - not the 40 22, but the 44 22. The 22 won’t help you to practice with your 9 as much as a 23, which is closer to the 19. Unless your goal is competition, in which case you should have been considering a 35 or 17L or 24 or 41 or 34 which are 40 9 40 45 9 respectively. The 31 32 and 33 are actually 357’s but not the 38 357’s. They’re 357’s that are more like 9s but not like the 380 is like 9’s. If you wanted that you need a 42. And nobody likes a 42, you’re better off with a 9. And therefore try a 44 because everyone loves to work on their 9 with a 22.
Edit: Glock if you read this I want a 44 but not a 22, that is I don’t want a 22 at all but I want a 44 because I’m already into the 22 and I’d prefer a 44 to a 22. Also please make a 50 that is a 17 22 or a 22 22 and make a 49 that is a 50. Thank you."
