Any thoughts if there will be a 5” P10 in the making

Direct competition to the G34 or 320 X5, etc

I would hope so. With a tungsten infused polymer frame and optics ready in my dreams.

I’m hoping they keep the P-10, P-09 and P-07 strictly as a self-defense line of pistols.

I’d rather see money spent commonizing the grip/frame (to the extent possible) between the P-09/07 and the improved P-10.

There's just something about a "long slide" pistol.

Right now, for carry around my property I'm carrying the FNS Long Slide .40.

Prior to that I was carrying the M&P 5" FDE 9MM.

Prior to that I was carrying the XD 5" Tactical .45 acp.

For open carry, away from people/crowds, I like the bigger pistols.

Don't get me wrong.  None of these are as accurate as the P07 I carry concealed (around people/crowds) but sometimes my open carry pistol gets pretty darned dirty outside and I don't want to have to clean it before I go somewhere or risk getting my nice clothes dirty.

I want a 5.2" P-09, preferably with a nice set of adjustable target sights.  That would give more sight radius to take advantage of the outstanding accuracy that the P-09 already has.

I vote for a 5.2”.  Same overall length as a G34 and I can shove an extended tungsten guide rod in there for an extra 4oz under the muzzle.  My 4.6” barreled SP-01 often had a 90fps spread with factory 115, some of it coming in below power factor.  The extra 1/2” would ensure even the slow rounds made minimum velocity.  Nice if you don’t reload and want to compete on a budget.

Accuracy wise, my P09 beats my G34 every days

Speaking of sights - is like a set of Trijicon XD-R sights that are the same height as all of their other HD sights. The self-defense sight options on CZ pistols suck.

The 'suppressor ready' P10F has a 5.11" barrel and a sight adapter could be made to fit over the thread protection cap giving a longer sight radius.  I will be doing this if Bud ever ships my P10F #91543.

Putting a threaded barrel on a p10f or 09 basically gives you those dimensions, u have to get the p10 barrel from primary machine tho
