Thanks Wobbly I took your advise and ordered a case of 3,600 124gr. JHP 9mm bullets from Precision Delta. I worked up a good target load and shot a few hundred today they are one of the most accurate 124gr bullets I've loaded and the price was also good $78 per 1,000. PD also did a great job of packing them the only person not happy with that deal was my lady mail carrier.

Don't tell him he was right.
It's gonna go right to his head. O0 ;D

Wobbly has a head? I thought that he was a headless reloading robot. ;D

Checked out their bulk pack of 3,600 124 JHP 9mm on sale for $312 or $86.66/1,000 with free shipping.
Is there a coupon to get them down to $78/1000? :)

Maybe their Black Friday sale a few weeks back? I picked up 2k each of the 124 hp and 147 FMJ. It was a sale, but I don’t recall how much discount it was.

What was your particular ending load?

That was their Black Friday sale price. I ended up buying two cases of 3600 of the 124 Gr JHP since it’s what I used in USPSA. I load it with 4.0 of Sport Pistol for carry optics and PCC. Very accurate and clean.
It’s the poor man’s N320 ;D

At least Wobbly isn't a "bot" that is causing havoc on our computers.......just at the reloading bench.
In October I bought a few thousand Precision delta 124 JHP since I had a coupon. Then they had that wonderful black friday special. So I had to order another 2 cases. Yea, post office doesn't like me either......oh well......Wonder how many holiday packages got crushed because of that special they had.

There was at one time a Discount Code when you ordered more than $200, which 2000 didn't quite reach. So you had to order 3000 and use code PD15 for an extra 15% off.
That code may or may not still be in force. I'd call them and see. At least on the phone you can haggle with them if it's not. Tell them you are "willing to order 3000 bullets right now" if they will do that. See what they say.
Another tact might be to wait until January. Not much money being spent in January due to Christmas bills. So spending is down and they may be more receptive to your powers of persuasion.

The two loads that I ended up with for the 124gr JHP PD bullets were 4 to 4.1gr power pistol and 4.3gr W231. They shot well and to the same POI at 15 yards and were very accurate in all 7 of my 9mm pistols.

That’s pretty much the same load I used to use when I was using Winchester 231. I had since switched to sport pistol since it’s cheaper, cleaner and actually more versatile since it’s better suited for coated bullets compared to win231 or titegroup.
