Title: New P-10F optics ready
Post by: sportsnut on January 05, 2020, 11:36:40 AM
Just picked this P-10F optics ready up last night. My Trijicon SRO will be here this Tuesday. The trigger is pretty darn good right out of the box with a clean crisp break. The ten pull average was 4lb.0.9oz.

Congrats. I have 4 P10’s. Two are F’s. All have been great performers and reliably predictable.
Enjoy it!

Congrats on the P10F.  My P10S with an RMR has been perspective altering, to say the least.  I think that you’ll be quite happy with the combo when you get it all together.  I’m 56 years old and have eye issues and the RMR equipped pistol lets me shoot like I’m 30 again.

After surprising success with a P-09 as a bullseye centerfire match gun, I've been practicing with my P-10F as a striker fired bullseye match gun.  Pretty good results so far in practice.  Much better than most people would have ever thought possible.

I couldn't help myself after reading all the reviews on the HB industries trigger.
It's on the way, plus an extra set of pins!

CZ P10 Frame Pin Set × 1   $3.80
CZ P10 Theta Trigger Kit - Red × 1   $65.00

I got the SRO mounted and headed for the range. The SRO was pretty close OTB, just a few clicks of elevation and a bit on the windage. I'm really impressed with this set-up from 5 yards to 40 yards I was killing the 6" plates. I put 100 rounds through it to break the cherry and it was 100% flawless.
I really like that the dot doesn't leave the window during recoil.

very cool, fired standing or sitting?

edit: do you think it'd be easier to hit further out if the dot was smaller?

All shooting was from the standing position.
From 40 yards with the 5.0 MOA dot set at about 3 clicks from dimmest, it wasn't even close to covering the 6" steel plate.

I put the new HBI trigger and new striker spring in this morning. This is all I'm going to do to this, so I'm calling it done for now. Both the factory trigger and the HBI have {had} a really nice break.

Edit; After looking at the picture of the barrel where recoil spring seats I had to break it down. The picture looks like the steel has a fracture in it. It was just a little oil and optical illusion. It did kinda freak me out when I saw the picture though.

I never would have thought without any polishing and just a striker spring change and HBI trigger I would be in the 3lb pull range. Pretty darn impressive for a striker-fired pistol.

I ran 180 rounds through it today and then checked trigger pull. It was down a few ounces from the last outing. This set-up is really nice. My buddy shoots with an RMR and is excited to try the SRO when we shoot this Friday.

Ten pull averages.
