I am looking at a used shadow. Upon inspection it has different serial numbers on the frame and slide. So I am not sure exactly what it is. Is there a way to look up serial numbers?
Serial Numbers are
A301934 Frame
A388981 Slide
Slide says shadow. Overall the gun looks like a Shadow Target 2.

Cal CZUSA and they can tell you about each serial number and what it belonged to.

Hmmmm, sounds suspicious. Never saw one w/o matching numbers. Unless you can absolutely steal it, I'd probably shy away.

Turns out it is a standard sp01 frame with a shadow slide, at least according to CZ USA. They further indicated that it went through the custom shop. It was used for competition by its current and previous owner. It has likely been fiddled with quite a bit. It might be a great gun. I will never know as I am going to pass on it.

Lol it's not a big deal. It's not uncommon for people to swap slides, barrels, and frames. Not weird or suspicious at all to have barrels/slide/frames with mixed serials on a non factory gun, especially if it was once owned by a competitive shooter.

There's a Shadow or SP-01 slide for sale right now in the classifieds. Somewhere else, is another Frankengun. It happens.
