I recently bought one of these rifles from an estate. I am an avid BRNO/CZ collector and want to get some more information on this series of rifles but was unable to get anything other than speculation. In none of the books which I have which have information on BRNO and CZ could I find anything relating to this specific model. The date on the receiver is 02, therefore manufactured 2002. Is there anybody that have information for me on this model and rifle please.

I googled “BRNO 2500” and got a bunch of info: some of it were posts from this forum. Not sure if any applies to your model, but it looked promising.

May I ask if its actually marked "Special Brno SAA 2500" or is it marked "Super Exclusive" or "Super Brno" and does it have an orange tinted beechwood stock as opposed to a walnut stained beechwood stock or an actual walnut stock?

David S, on your question, it is actually marked on the top of the barrel "Special BRNO SAA 2500" and it indeed has an orange tinted beechwood stock with a cheek piece.

Well the "SPECIAL" part of the SPECIAL BRNO SAA 2500 is throwing me. First a disclaimer I can't guarantee any of what follows, old memories, so put it under speculation. Around 2002 and with serial numbers in the 79XXXX range (and continuing into the AXXXXXX serial numbers) CZ made a first run of SUPER BRNO 2500 rifles. There were suppose to be 2500 rifles made and these has orange tinted beechwood stocks, gold colored triggers and the 28.5 inch barrel. Then CZ made about 100 or 110 Walnut stocked rifles with the SUPER EXCLUSIVE marking. After the first walnut stocked rifles CZ made the same marked rifles but with brown stained beech wood stocks. You'll have noticed that nowhere is the word SPECIAL any where there. Except for the word SPECIAL I'd say yours would be one of the first SUPER BRNO 2500 rifles. I'm afraid you've thrown me. You might try posting on the RIMFIRECENTRAL forum in the CZ/BRNO section. The rifle forum is a bit more active over there but fair warning they'll whine if you cant post photos. Your probably aware CZ made the 452 Special Military Training rifle but it would be marked differently.
