I'm hoping this issue has been seen by others and
There is a solution.
I have a 2018 CZP07 with full CGW pro grade kit installed by
My Gunsmith. I have now had 3 separate instances in a couple thousand rounds where during live fire the hammer falls to half cock positon after a shot instead of cycling and going to SA mode. I got the. 220 double action roller bearing that comes standard with the CGW kit.
Will the .225 or .230 oversized roller bearing fix this issue?
I thought this issue only existed with OEM CZ P07 and P09s
I love this pistol and is my EDC. Hoping for a solution/diagnosis.
Thanks

Sounds like hammer follow. I think you should look at hammer / sear engagement rather than the roller bearing.

According to SI VIS PACEM PARRABELLUM it may help:
He is trustworthy person.

Exactly how would I fix this? Heavier sear spring in kit
( yellow spring)??
-
It might not be a bad idea to call CGW directly.
-
Yes, you probably should call CGW directly to describe the problem and let them give a recommendation. They're probably going to ask you about the following:
Do you have your original DA roller bearing and/or know it's measurements? I have a 2017 P-07 and a 2018 P-07. I run CGW's .220 in the 2017 and the .225 in the 2018 because the original sizes were different in each gun.
There are two heavier sear springs to choose from in the kit: .018? wire diameter (yellow) and .020? wire diameter (natural) sear springs
https://cajungunworks.com/product/50020-p0709-increased-weight-sear-spring/
Your gunsmith should have already installed one or the other. Can you check your kit to see which sear springs are leftover? I run the heavier .020 spring in both of my P-07's to remove risk of hammer follow with the CGW hammer, and to add a little to the SA pull, which I have running around 3.5 lbs in each gun.
I haven't ever experienced hammer follow with either gun.

If the gun already has a CGW roller installed I would call CGW and explain what is happening with the gun to them. They are very good about customer service and very helpful in these situations. Knowing what your gunsmith installed in the gun would be helpful and knowing if he "modded" anything would be helpful as well.

Thanks everyone! My p07 has the full CGW kit installed.
It has the .220 DA roller bearing and the natural color, lighter sear spring. I didnt measure the OEM DA roller and got rid of oem parts after CGW install. I will speak with the tomorrow! Thx

FYI I'm pretty sure the natural color spring is actually the heavier of the two sear springs in CGW's kit for P-07 / P-09. It's a thicker gauge wire than the yellow one.

Yes, the natural color spring is the heavy one. Both of the springs in the kit are actually heavier than the stock spring. With the unpainted one being the heavier of the two.
-
I actually have the yellow seat spring installed.
Is installing the natural color spring ( and the. 225 DA roller bearing) the fix? I had the .220 Roller installed without measuring the factory OEM one, which I tossed after the install.
I'm waiting to hear back from CGW.

I would try the heavy spring and see if the problem is still there. I wonder if your gunsmith did any fitting on the hammer, sear, or disconnecter? It's the interaction of these parts and their spring tension that locks the hammer back at full cock. The half cock notch is a safety stop to prevent an ND.
On a 1911 there are some tests you can do to see which part is causing the issue. Perhaps someone more experienced with the Omega system could share how to isolate the problem.
I think the roller bearing is only related to double action, but I'm not 100% sure.

I noticed on the P07 with the gunsmith installed kit the sear is shiny as though it were polished but on the pistol I installed the kit myself my OEM sear is black. I always wondered about this as the kit doesnt have a sear and re-uses OEM sear.
CGW says they will send me a .215 roller bearing
-
Interesting fact about your sear looking like it was polished. There isn't a replacement sear in the kit, and the sear itself isn't something that CGW or the people on this forum talk about polishing. The sear pin, yes, the sear itself, no. Mine are still black with a bit of wear along the edge.
Interesting that CGW is sending you a .215 roller bearing. They only have .220, .225, and .230 listed for sale on their website. I might have gone with the .215 in one of my P-07's because that would have been closer to theoriginal roller bearing OD of around .212 or .213 I think. Although the .220 seems to be working fine for me in that gun.
They yellow sear spring should be heavy enough to prevent hammer follow in the P-07 or P-09 while the heavier sear springs are required for the metal frame Omegas, according to the descriptions.
