I recently got a brand new P-01 with decocker with the NSN serial and I immediately installed the CJW pro package in it without dry firing it. Once complete I dry fired it in single action, trigger went limp and could not fire it in double action. I racked the slide, decocked it, and after dry firing it in double action the trigger went limp again.
Every hammer fired gun I've owned or tried you could dry fire the double action over and over with no issue, but with this P01 you can't dry fire DA without racking the slide and decocking it first and repeating that entire process.
I've taken this gun apart completely about 8 times, replaced the trigger bar spring just in case...limp. The double action works if I move the hammer or slide 1-2mm back
I gave up, decided to take it to a gunsmith/cerakote and he took it to a shop that works on a lot of these guns, store owner shows him the p01 is suppose to do that and his own shop gun does the same exact thing.
The thing is...why is it when I contacted CGW about this in full detail with pictures they didn't immediately tell me that's just how the P-01 works?! Instead they just asked me things like are the screws in the trigger, does it do it when the gun is fully put together. You would think a company that specialized in CZ would know that right away about the P-01...unless it's not true?
I did several combination google searches trying to read anything on the P-01 trigger going limp once dry fired...NOTHING, watched review videos...nothing. You would think a feature like this would be highlighted since most hammer fired guns can be dry fired in double action over and over.
CZ hasn't responded to my e-mail in a week, so here I am.
So, does your P-01 trigger go limp once you dry fire it?

The trigger is NOT supposed to go "limp" during dry fire in D/A mode. You can dry fire repeatedly in D/A mode as with any other hammer fired pistol. By your description it sounds like the trigger return spring was possibly installed incorrectly. Post good close up pics of the internals of the frame please. Especially the trigger assembly.

That's what I figured...
I can't take any pictures at the moment since it's still being cerakoted and will be put back together by the gunsmith who said that's normal and they couldn't find a problem.
I will take pictures in hopefully a week.

Went through my e-mails, here are the pics I sent CGW.

Last 2 pics show how the trigger bar looks through the decocker after a dry fire, then when you barely move the hammer back the trigger bar moves up just a little.
I did replace the trigger bar spring, but from the pictures it may look like it needs to reach a little farther on the trigger bar?

When you say the trigger is limp, do you mean it would just flop around or would the trigger reset back to the forward position on it's own?
Not trying to be combative but I can't understand why you wouldn't at least dry fire a few times before installing the CGW parts. I would want to know just how much the kit improved the trigger pull over stock.

Trigger goes back but there is zero resistance when pulling it back, always returns without assistance.
Had the parts before the gun, quarantined , just excited to have something to do. Yes, I know it was dumb.

If the trigger goes back to forward position on it's own then my original idea of it being the trigger return spring is out. Hopefully when the gunsmith gets it back together the issue will be resolved.
Nah...you're not dumb. Just excited to get those Cajun parts installed. :)

I know this won't help you at the moment. Posting mostly for encouragement. When I installed my trigger kit, the result was exactly as you are describing. And I swore up and down (what does that even mean??) that I had it all back together properly. Well, I didn't. It was just what that bleepYankee says. The TRS was not in correctly. It looked like it was in, it felt like it had gone in, but it had not. Tricky little thing to get right. And as expressed, hopefully when your cerakote shop reassembles they'll put it together as it should be, and you'll have your trigger back.

Looks like one end is barely touching the trigger bar. There's probably not enough tension on the trigger bar spring. and it will still need to be adjusted after the gun is reassembled.

We did a Cajun Gun Works pro package on my daughters 75B. The replacement trigger return spring was too light and would not reset the trigger. We put the origional spring back in and the gun works just fine
