Does anyone have a source for 32 ACP magazines?

CZ-USA web store had some in stock they're out of stock at this time. A bit expensive but I did order 2. I'm sure they'll get more in fairly soon. I've been told the 380 version will work, but not lock the slide back. I don't have a way to test that however. I've seen 10 and 12 round 380 mags at several places.

Thank you sir. But those appear to be the "MFG CZ" mags that everyone says to avoid. I'll keep looking.

Phew, didn't know these had been up that long.  Someone just tipped me off on another forum so I ordered 2.

Even though CZ doesn't make them anymore (hence the crazy prices on the secondary market until this release) hopefully they still make the mags.  Just signed up for notifications on the CZ-USA webstore.

picked mine up today.  They don't offer the hand picked option anymore, so it is pot luck.  The guy in line ahead of me got one in excellent shape, I would call mine good condition.

Looks like I got screwed by Aim Surplus. Bulged barrel, not enough the slide won't cycle, but you can clearly see a ring in the bore and a faint hump on the outside. Photos will be posted later.

The bulge is hard to see but easy to feel on the outside of the barrel, the dark ring in the bore show where the damage is.

Waiting for an RMA from Aim Surplus, of course they don't have any left and no repair parts. Only thing I can hope is somebody canceled an order.

UPDATE on the ammo website..I was just emailed by this company that reads..I am sorry for the inconvenience but we do not have that product available, I have canceled the order and have the money going back to your card.

I hate websites that aren't updated with current info. I will never again visit ammoshoponline.com.
Please excuse my inaccurate lead.

Personally I would tell them to make sure you are the FIRST to be notified when they are back in stock.  Easy company to work with so I'm sure you won't get "screwed" by them.  Guessing they don't check them close enough to have discovered your issue.  They are by far the most likely to get another batch at some point.

I picked both of mine up yesterday, pretty happy with the condition.  There was a bit of carbon fouling in the barrels still but overall they were pretty clean, a bit of rust in the slide serrations.

It took no time at all to get the bores shiny bright (they look chrome lined to me, but I've read only the 82 in Mak was) and everything cleaned up really nice.  The DA trigger isn't nearly as bad as I had read.

Yeah I got lucky (for once) as well. (I'm the guy who usually gets the one that looks like it was run over by a Soviet tank. ) This guy looks to be bordering on excellent. I do see some light rust on the feed ramp, but that's about all I could pick on. Bluing is perfect except for the sharp areas around the muzzle. No dings even to speak of. My last 83 was from a different company, rated VG- EX, and it wasn't nearly this good.

A shout-out to Ron because I checked the barrel for bulges before doing the paperwork. (no issues).  Stick with it Ron-as Larry mentioned, perhaps they can put you on an unofficial priority list.

Edit- one late-breaking issue is that the mag that came with the pistol has a cracked follower. Anyone know if a .380 follower will work in a .32 mag?

I'll count myself lucky if Aim doesn't screw me over again. 10 or so years ago I bought a S&W Model 15-3 they had at a fairly good price. The revolver had 2 damaged chambers and a cracked forcing cone. They sent a refund minus 5% credit card fee and 15% restocking. Took contacting the BBB to get the restocking fee returned.

After this, I doubt I'll buy from them again. I have purchased a few other guns that were in advertised condition, but 2 damaged and unsafe guns is 2 too many.

Yeah I left good reviews because I was impressed with my pistol (which I still am) but the mag they sent me is totally defective. It won't even accept cartridges while loading. I took it apart and saw that someone had drilled a hole through the follower (which is now split almost in half), then clipped off the top spring area where the follower should sit and threaded the cutoff end of the spring through the hole they made. The end result is that the follower has a downward angle due to the spring pulling on it, and it freezes itself upon loading.I sent AIM a picture and asked for help. After two days they are saying that if I send them the junk follower they will "switch it out".  I would think they could at least just send me a new follower w/o me having to pay to send back the junked one.  The pistol is (presumably) supposed to ship with a working magazine so gimmie a break.

Hmmm.... I wonder if they pulled one of the magazines and are going to offer them later, like Classic did with the Beretta 81s.

I passed it along to a friend and he ordered one. Told him to watch out for reported issues but he didn’t seem to have any with his. It looked to be in pretty good shape and clean, especially the magazine. Accurate and no hiccups. Also tested it with a .380 magazine but it didn’t work...would chamber the first round with the slide manually worked but would not properly feed the next round on firing.

They didn't get anymore in after I sent mine back. They sent a full refund and did offer free shipping on one of the CZ50s or 70s that are in stock. They covered shipping on 2 CZ70s, figure worst case 1 should be usable. If they're both good, I can sell or use 1 for trade bait.

Both of the mags they sent me appear fine, aside from some decent follower wear from the slide stop/hold open.

One of them had several FTFs though, maybe the spring is old and weak.  They were both so easy to load my wife could have done it.  The new ones I ordered from CZ-USA (which they then promptly removed from their site) by comparison were tough for me to load 15, and that's saying something.  I have very strong hands/fingers and usually scoff at other "xxx mag is hard to load to capacity" comments but after I loaded 7 of them to capacity my fingers were sore for a day or two and then a bunch of skin started dying and falling off of my fingers.

That's why they make mag loaders. I love my Makershot Speedloader Model LDQ, but I don't see it on their website anymore. The Makershot model LDB  is for a 9mm, but it also works on my .32 ACP mags. For some reason their website doesn't show any such model number configurations.

From a YouTube video of the Zili Praha CZ 82/83 Holster, it appears it replicates the original military version.
scotsal you should put this in the What holsters fit the CZ 82/83? “stickie”
I wasn’t able to find to find this type during my search. I chose a Barsony ambidextrous OWB, which happens to fit perfectly.
What I noticed was there are metal fasteners, which could come in contact with the pistol. This situation is similar to mine. I took an “unlost” glove and cut out some patches. I contact cemented them over the fasteners.

Thanks for the advice! Yep there is a steel button face on the high, right side. It look like you can avoid it if you holster slowly, but I'll look to put some felt or some such over it per your pic.  (Yes , I'll post some holster pics on the holster thread. )

Yeah it looked like you would at least want to get the slide re-blued.

On my .32, I am thinking of an FO sight on this to bring it up to  the same sight pic as my others. I was resisting for the sake of historical accuracy, but it is such a great pistol , it deserves more range time, and I thought that a new front sight would help my (personal) accuracy?)

Import mark looks to be under the trigger guard.  If you can figure out who imported, you can get an idea of other retailers that might have better condition items.  As best as I can recall, Centerfire rarely has mint milsurp guns...  They compete on price/volume, not quality.  And most importers have several grades/cost available at wholesale for retailers.

Hi Robert, I bought my .32 from Aim (Not the last batch but the one before that). Yes I am very happy with the one I received. I believe they rated it "good", but I think it could pass for "VG" any day. It could just have been luck of the draw, but I'll bet it's worth more than the $350 (all in) that I paid for it. Good luck! Scott

Mine is from the same importer so maybe that was a pristine batch. I cold-blued over the lettering and it mostly disappeared  :D
