Looks like it has just been made available on the CZ USA webstore. This parts kit is for the 5.56 version. Take a look.

Edit: After speaking with CZ USA, there will be a 7.62x39 parts kit available in the future. Additionally we should expect the glorious waffle-maker stocks in the future.

Great, Now we need tailhook adapter for this!
PS: the link is 404, temporarily?

Temporary. The first batch has sold out. The listing will be up again when the orders are invoiced, that way you can sign up for in-stock notifications.

From CZ USA: The kit includes the stock, a handguard, receiver side rails, disconnector and operating rod sub assembly. Looking at the photos it appears the handguard is different from the stock Bren 2 MS handguard, it even appears to have more M Lok slots. Additionally the 7.62x39 version will require US made magazines (Whether they mean an entirely US made magazine or followers/base plates I am unsure of) and a muzzle device.
-
Did you happen to notice the amount for the 922r kit from CZ?
Thanks
-
If I remember correctly, it was $275.
-
Thanks!
Not unreasonable!

Correct. Also just a reminder to check out the LE/MIL program for those who qualify.
-
Did anyone here get one of these kits ordered during the brief moment it was available?
CZ needs to get their act together and get these kits over here in multiple caliber configurations asap as well as spare parts and magazines for the Bren 2.

Does this kit include a 16” or + barrel to turn a pistol into a rifle?
Otherwise, I’m not seeing much point to going to the trouble of complying with 922r:

Unfortunately, the 922R kit does not include a barrel. The kit is for either going from a pistol to SBR or pin/weld a 14 inch barrel pistol to rifle.

How about the ability to use the proper CZ stock instead of retrofitting some other gun’s stock or even worse, a cheesy AR 15 Buffer tube style pistol brace. That’s a good enough reason for me.

Technically, you also have to use a 922r kit if you SBR your Bren 2, because you're legally manufacturing a new "rifle."
922r is aimed primarily at importers and firearm manufacturers. For CZUSA to legally sell the stocks in the US they have to provide a 922r compliance kit with it, otherwise it looks like this to ATF:
CZUSA imports and sells longarms in pistol configuration to get around 922r. CZUSA sells stocks to those same customers that CZUSA couldn't legally attach without turning pistols to rifles and violating 922r.
(Excitement for pet shooting and home burning intensifies.)

Yeah, I'm not seeing much reason to buy a 922r kit, just for the pleasure of jumping through a bunch of hoops and putting my name front and center before the BATF for an SBR. The pistol accomplishes everything I need for an 11" barrel without all the hassle. Even if I wanted to go to the trouble to pin a 14" barrel to rifle length, such spare parts are not even available yet.

I'm confused by that last part. What do you mean by "Even if I wanted to go to the trouble to pin a 14" barrel to rifle length, such spare parts are not even available yet?"
I am trying to understand this because this is what I'm looking to do. If I buy a 14" Bren 2 MS and install the 922r kit, I can then pin/weld a proper length flash hider to get to 16"+ and then it's a compliant rifle, right? Can I use any flash hider?

Mine is an 11" barrel, which I like, especially in 7.62x39 since it only loses @ 100 fps at the muzzle compared to a 16" barrel.
It would be nice to have the ability to convert to a rifle using a spare 16" barrel (i.e.: in 6.5 Grendel), but no spare barrels, 16" or even 14", are available as spare parts from CZ, or any aftermarket vendor that I'm aware of.
Preferably you would blind pin a 2"+ muzzle device to your 14" barrel to get to the 16" requirement for a rifle with an actual butt stock, plus add a few other US-made parts to make it 922r compliant. Of course, nothing says you can't have a 16"+ barrel on a pistol, with or without a brace, and therefore, not have to bother with 922r.
-
Oh I gotcha, missed the part about yours being 11", thanks!

Did they give a hint as to how far in to the future that will be?

It seemed they were unready to give any hints. Just that it was planned. Given the current issues with supply and trying to start up a new factory a state away, I wouldn't hold my breath.

There are a few 922r kits floating around. The ones on Gun Broker are a bit excessive in price. I got lucky and found one at a local shop. The owner had ordered 4, 2 for his use and 2 to sell. I was able to get one for $325 plus TX sales tax. I probably will be selling the stock and hand guard in the near future, if I can make a MagPul UBR work. I have an HBI extended hand guard I intend to install. I probably will need an anti wobble kit to make the UBR stable.

Can you tell us what's the difference between that handguard and HBI's?

I have an 11” barrel, which is great for 7.62x39. But if I wanted to make mine a rifle and use an actual butt stock without going through all the SBR BS (which I won’t do) I’d have to have a 16” barrel or pin a 2” extension on a 14” barrel. But, of course, neither of those barrels (or anything else to speak of) exist in the CZ parts inventory right now. I’m not gonna stick a 5” extension on an 11” barrel just to use a butt stock.

The HBI version I plan to use is 10.8 inches, it covers the bayonet lug location. I'll need to remove the lug when I take off the factory flash hider. I like the look of the longer hand guard. I've also considered putting it on an 11 inch Bren 2 and going the SBR route to replace my MSAR STG-556. My wife's a lefty and the AUG style bullpups are not friendly for her. She loves the straight down ejection of the PS90.

I have a feeling they are the same. CZ USA seems to use a lot of unmarked (no brand markings) HBI parts in 922r compliance kits. The disconnectors are the same as far as I can tell.
-
Its not the same handguard fellas.
its very similar and HBI may be the OEM but its not the same.
-
CZ-USA has the 922r parts kits in stock right now. I grabbed one for my 11" 7.62x39 Bren 2 MS pistol that I setup to use 7.62x39 AR15 magazines.

I finally got it engraved and the kit installed.

Thanks. I think that the US made 922(r) handguard is superior to the factory original. The attachment is simpler and the hold feels better.

It is about 6.8 ounces lighter, offers more M-Lok attachment points, offers an additional picatinny space forward, "free" floats the barrel, and stays cool longer as a result? What is not to love? It really realizes the reason for buying a Bren 2: A lightweight, reliable, piston driven carbine.
For those getting the 922r kits, but want a built in sling QD attachment point, here you go: https://hbindustries.net/store/shop/cz-bren-2-ms-handguard-qd-mounting-plate/
