Title: +P ammo in your CZ97BD
Post by: ssqman on June 26, 2020, 11:56:34 AM
I just found a bag of HST 230 +P from long ago. Would it hurt to use this? I don't mean a steady diet but test like maybe 50 for function and the rest for emergency self defense.

Generally not an issue to run +P it just wears out the gun faster.  Here is a FAQ from CZUSA:

CZs are built to handle NATO rounds. I don't think that one box of a reputable brand +P is going to negatively affect the pistol at all. But yeah, a steady diet of it would likely cause premature wear.

I have put around a box of +P HST through my CZ97 with the factory recoil spring installed. I can confirm that my 97 did not explode.  ;D
