Put a ez d sight set from cajun gunworks on my stainless 75b , but notch is deeper than I thought it would be,will l this rear sight work better on my 97 ?

It's a personal preference when it comes to what a good sight picture is for them. Personally, I thought the front sight was to small.

Ya I found in I’m not likeing the skinny front sight , will get a wider one

Put the ezd rear sight on the 97, looks great .like the sight picture , the rear screw on the sight is only half on the slide. Hammer doesn’t hit but could this be a problem for the slide or sight. On my 75 b the screw was about 1/4 “ from the end. Maybe just leave the screw out? I see yeh rear sights from czc don’t have rear screws.

The rear set scerw was added to alleviate harmonics that could cause the orignal design to break after extended use. I can not say that i have seen more than a few examples of the orignal design braking but the second set scerw is there for a reason.
I am unclear what you mean when you say "the rear screw on the sight is only half on the slide."

The screw at the rear of the sight hits the rear of the slide (where the hammer is )half on the slide and half off toward the hammer. On my 75 b the screw on the rear of the sight was about 1/4 “ in from the back of the slide from where the hammer hits

Ahh, i see, that dose raise questions. All of my examples of the EZD are of the old design, so i have not seen this. Maybe another forum member will have more perspective on the subject. If not CGW will know.

I e mailed them, they are always helpful ,thought I’d ask here to see if anyone tried the same thing.

I just added the EZD rear sight to my 97B. The rear (harmonic dampening) set screw is in contact with the slide, just at the very end above the hammer in the hammer notch. It's like you said, the screw is not entirely on the slide. It sits about two thirds on the slide and one third aft. The aft 1/3 is in contact with nothing. It tightens up fine, though.
The sight picture is very good. I like how it looks on the pistol, too. Got some new LOK thin bogies to boot, and an Ultra-Lite Kit from CGW. That CZ97B is a flat sexy pistol!
