Title: SP-01 9mm upper on CZ-75B 40 S&W frame?
Post by: MuayThaiJJ on October 01, 2020, 01:34:44 AM
My buddy bought a Kadet upper and a cajunized SP01 upper for $580. Great deal...but he has no frame.

If he bought a CZ-75 B in .40S&W will all uppers work on that frame?

Thanks!

It should for sure....but I would check a few things to be sure. You say the SP01 slide was done by CGW. I would check to see if it was an extended firing pin in it. The reason I say this is IF the 75 B is box stock it will have a 18# plus mainspring in it. That main spring is great to run the Kadet 2 kit!!????.....BUT you don’t want to run an extended firing with that heavy of a mainspring and shoot centerfire rounds. It is really made to run with a 13#er or so.

So you need to know what firing pin is in the SP01.
As I said a stock 75 B is great to go with the Kadet 2 as the lower on the .40 and 9mm are the same.
Come to think of it it would be good to know if the CGW SP-01 slide has a lighter firing pin plunger spring in it also. I’m not really sure if a light firing pin plunger spring will play well with an OEM firing pin lifter lever spring in the lower .  Can’t help ya on that one as I’ve never tried it.
