Title: Early P-01 questions.....new guy....
Post by: Muttandjeeps on October 17, 2020, 04:11:25 PM
Just got a new to me P-01, 2002 build date, K prefix serial number..PO installed Cajun spring kit and SS guide rod...
Is there anything to look out for on the earlier models...any other upgrades that are needed ASAP?
Thanks for any input..

I would consider replacing the Firing Pin Retraining Pin with the CGW option.

Gratz on the P-01.

As Tok36 siad I would check the firing pin retaining pin. Also, if you are not sure how many rounds it has on it maybe a new recoil spring. other than that, shoot and enjoy!

Thanks for all reply’s.....the SS guide rod and spring are CGW as are the trigger and hammer springs, it’s already got the G10 grips and an older set of NS....so the CGW Retaining pin will be ordered tomorrow....thanks!

fyi! might want to get a spare spring or two that are in the sear cage. pretty easy to loose the lifter spring during takedown or assembly.
