I've taken some sand paper to the back of my P10C but I'm reluctant to go at it hard, so opted for a single strip of skateboard tape on the back strap. I'd prefer a better solution, but don't need any heavy duty stippling. Any advice? Thanks!

I use Talon Grips on my P10C. Doesn’t permanently modify the gun like sandpaper in the event I sold or traded it in.

+1. Handleitgrips are also excellent. Available in the same sandpaper or rubberized textures and 20% off at the moment.

Rub the bottom side of large spoon hard for a few minutes over the stippled high points.
I did on the front strap of grip. Worked like a charm.

Thanks for all the advice. I'll try the spoon. Pistols move in & out of my collection, but I'm narrowing it down to a couple keepers - in an effort to focus on proficiency over selection. Probably, painfully releasing my P01 CGW PP to the world soon - but OK with permanent mods on the P10c as I'll likely keep it as my primary compact 9mm.
I've tried the Talon grips, didn't care for them on this grip. But I didn't try the rougher sandpapery ones - that's an option too.
Thanks again!

One of the posters here likes to use skateboard tape, I'm not even sure what that is like (but it's another option).

it is like coarse sandpaper. don't have sandpaper upstairs for a grit comparison, but 80-grit is probably close.

Look into something like this first:

I'm going to try out the version of the F model, but even if I end up hating the grip it's only $13 I've wasted and I haven't done any permanent changes to the grip. Same thing with Talon grips and similar options - I always recommend trying out non-permanent changes first before you look into stippling work on a grip or what you're looking for.

I too found the grip texture on my P10C a little aggressive. Saw this idea and figured I’d give it a try.

I cut a section of old bicycle tube to cover the grip. Similar idea to the Hogue gripper covers, but not as bulky or grippy rubber as to hang up on clothing. Although I don’t concealed carry this gun, I’m liking it for range use and find it much more comfortable in my hand.

I would put some 320 grit sandpaper on a flat block and go lightly once or twice to lower the high spots.
You use a block so the sandpaper doesn't touch anything but the top of the factory stippling.
-
I'm going to do this tonight or tomorrow and will post some pics.

Took some 320 grit on a flat piece of aluminum and lightly sanded the front strap and back strap.
Definitely better for me.

320 grit sandpaper with water
I wouldn't go as serious as the picture above. 320 takes away material FAST so do about 6 swipes and check your progress.

+1 for Talon Grips.

No way, if you have trouble with the lack of grip on a CZ P10c the next best thing is having a grip with nails that go into your skin. If the grip is too abrasive for you, simply take 320 grit sandpaper, some water, and literally 1 minute of time. If done right it will still look 100% factory and be much much better.

I like the rough texturing on my P10-F. Only the left and right outer row on the front checkering seems to a bit more aggressive then the rest.
I just put a Talon Grip on my P10 and finished. Works a dream. Not so aggressive and has a kind of comfy feel to it. I chose the rubberized version, but also have a silicat version somehere lying around here.

Agree with this, great texture. Did this to all of my P10 series.
