Title: tinkering with my 85 combat
Post by: Mark-combat on November 07, 2020, 05:25:53 PM
Well to be honnest I was not too impressed by my 85 combat, so I started thinking, more weight at the barrel.

So I though what about making the plastic pin for the reciol spring out of stainless, that should add some weight under my barrel
so I spend an afternoon behind my old taig lathe.

this gives me 11.3gram more weight, and I must say I like it, it gives me less 'snap' when firing the 85 combat and it makes it more accurate.

Mine is an old Pre B CZ85 and it came with a steel guide rod.

Sweet old pistol.  Nasty as could be when I got it.  New springs, refinish job (cerakote), new sights and grips and no issues, except it hardly gets shot anymore.

Liked it so much I added the controls to a couple other CZs I have.

Neat, glad to hear that it worked out. Thank you for the pic.
