I just picked up a 90% condition C&R from OWS and couldn't be more pleased. Aside from some typical worn bluing and handling wear, the pistol is in excellent mechanical condition.
It has the lion superimposed over N proof mark on the trigger guard and slide with the number 58 on the rear of the slide. The 5-digit serial number begins with a B and was imported by Gibbs Rifle Company per a GRC MARTINSBURG, WV etching on the frame forward of the trigger guard.
I have attributed this specimen as having been produced during the second production run in the Uherský Brod factory in 1958. There is no crossed sword proof mark so the distribution of this side arm may not have been government issued.
Overall clean up was pretty easy and field stripping proved all parts to be in great shape, specifically the firing pin, it literally looks brand new. The decocking safety and firing pin lock work perfectly and all springs are in good shape. The bore is bright, no pitting, the however rifling is not sharp. The grips are the later, striped bakelite type and are in good condition, no cracks. I found a set of NOS checkered grips online but mine are in good shape.
EDIT: grips may be correct for this model/series. The checkered/dimpled grips I saw for sale online were CZ-70 correct grips.
I have yet to fire the pistol but have stated looking for a few spare parts, like a sear and maybe a Harrington firing pin (not sure the later is necessary). Barrels seem easy to come by but not easy to swap and I have no machining capability at the present. I found some aftermarket walnut grips on fleabay but I'm not sure I need them, nor are they correct. I'm a purist.
I would love to get more info about these pistols, specifically mine, and hear from other collectors and shooters. Mine will be a shooter, mostly recreational, and possibly personal defense.

I am here! :D My 50 below.... I should say I am from the Czech Rep so this is the cheapest gun on the market... normally between USD 45-90 based on the condition... mine cost me USD 65 approx. Excellent condition.. one of the first 11.000 produced.... unfortunately Cz70 mag so feeding issues were inevitable :D
btw. if you are interested in its history, feel free to check my video here :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zyosbFWFyac&t=2s

Took the little 50 to the range this weekend. Zero problems and flawless performance overall, albeit a heavy trigger pull.
Accuracy was decent. Hitting cans at 25 yards was a challenge but putting rounds into center mass at 5 and 10 yards was no problem, even ala mag dump. Ammo used was 71gr Norma. Every round fed, fired and ejected perfectly.
Ordered up some springs from Wolff to get the trigger pull down and tighten up the slide a bit. I'm happy.
