My wallet just ran away and locked itself in the bathroom.

Looks like it fits the space between the original Tac Sports and the TSO, except .40 is no longer an option.
I'll have see what a TS2 Racing Green will cost. Maybe I'll be able to get one while I wait for my DWX to be born.
-
I was interested until no .40. I have other guns to use for limited minor.
-
So...this must be the new limited gun Eric was working in, along with the new open gun.
I like it, I always hated the way the TSO slide profile didn't match the frame. This fixes that.
-
This is CZ’s vain attempt to make up for the DWX O0 O0.
Anyway, like I said in another forum, it’s looks like a shadow 2 slide and a Czechmate/old ts frame. They could have at least used the new TSO frame with the updated shadow 2 style mag release pad and aluminum trigger.
-
I don't think this was intended to be an upgrade from the TSO. It appears to be an upgrade from the original TS judging by the features. Doubt CZ will only make this in 9mm. Seem like they always launch possible multi-caliber guns in 9mm first.

On the website listed it appears that they are going to have other upgraded versions of it. Those seem to come with the paddle style mag release and aluminum trigger.

I like the green one.

If I am not mistaken, it is only on the Czech factory website. there is nothing about it on the CZ-USA website. I believe it is not available in the US yet anyway.
-
Yeah, I wouldn't hold my breathe waiting for this to arrive stateside. It seems that there is quite a lag between new offerings overseas and when we get to see them in the US. If they don't offer this model in 40 Cal it would be a waste, as most will want it for USPSA limited major.
I guess I would want to see a accubushing, a fully adjustable rear sight, and competition length magazines if they were serious about making it a premiere competition ready out of the box pistol. And if they are going to strip the slide release, at least give us a cover for the hole left behind! I use a piece of grip tape to cover it on my TSO's but it likes to fall off when I detail strip and clean the frame with solvent.
Cheers,
Toby

Well, at least they were equally as creative in naming it as they were when they named the Shadow 2. ;D I wonder if they will skip #13 when they get there like they do in some buildings.

Its like my S2 had sex with my TSO and spit out the green TS2...

That’s funny.
BTW, I replied to your post in the DWX thread. Order this one. It’ll probably be available before the DWX O0.
-
Honestly, the only thing I like about these is the variety of thumb rests.

This looks identical to the current TSO frame.

Yup. I forgot to put that in the same line with the Czechmate.

Looking at the photos and the website there appears to be a few differences in the frame. Most notable, is the change in trigger guard which should be cool for competition shooters. After that, the website is showing that this comes with a longer barrel than the TSO which should put a little more weight at the front with the added length in barrel, slide and frame. The contour of the grips looks slightly different too. Looks more like the Shadow 2 than the TS/TSO.
-
The TSO already has the S2 grip angle/contour.
At first look I would have assumed the barrel was shorter not longer but your right the barrel is 4mm longer.
I'm not sure if the changes warrant upgrading. My TSO's have the more open trigger guard already (original design). If I wanted to change out my gas pedal, those are available already. I assume these will take the Checkmate/TS magazines as the capacity is the same so no benefit there.
It looks very similar to the S2 and I think they are trying to build off of the S2 platform success and promote their large frame variants. Depending on the price point it should be successful for new customers.
Cheers,
Toby

EU pricing:
vanilla model - 1800€
green - 2200€
bronze - 2800€
IMHO - too much

Newer TSOs have a different frame that is just like what this gun has.

The changes are subtle but there. I was able to find this on the CZ factory's blog post. Not trying to argue of course, just looking to share information on this as it seems like there isn't a ton out there yet.
"The pistol comes with a new frame, which is produced with modern CNC machines. The new manufacturing technologies used for the second generation CZ TS 2 allow for precise tolerances down to a hundredth of a millimeter for a much tighter parts fit that results in both increased shooting accuracy and an extended service life.
When creating the new frame, CZ designers collaborated with shooters to design a frame with advanced geometry that may not seem different upon visual inspection, but is instantly appreciated when in hand." https://www.czforthosewhoknow.com/blog/2020/11/16/cz-ts-2-a-new-advanced-sports-special-for-the-ipsc-standard-division/
"The front and back straps have new, more prominent checkering..." https://www.czforthosewhoknow.com/blog/2020/11/16/cz-ts-2-a-new-advanced-sports-special-for-the-ipsc-standard-division/
-
You're right I just got the images to upload on my phone on the CZUB site and looked again and the checkering looks the same as the newest TSO but the triggerguard is changed yet again, this time to match the S2.
The mag release is immaterial since they're offering both types and the TSO has used both types. I'm wondering if the magwells will be blended now, if these are using the plastic or aluminum trigger, and if it will be over a year until they hit the US.
The S2 OR sure was available there long before we got it.
-
It looks like they have the polymer trigger
-
Would be interesting how the TS2 slide fits the Shadow 2 frame, for a longslide build similar to CTS. I might be wrong most likely, but it seems CZ may have kept similar slide and frame profiles at the dust cover.

pricing in Austria. Webshop says it will available in 51st week of 2020.

Beautiful guns but I am curious whether the juice is worth the squeeze in terms of upgrading from a TSO
