I just picked up a CZ Woodcock 12ga and took it the the range yesterday. I was shooting top barrel only and was having problems about 50% of the time where the gun would fail to fire. I’d pull the trigger and nothing, but then when I pulled the trigger again it would fire just fine. I also noticed that when I closed the action that if I turned the safety on and off it would fire first try every time. Also when dry firing it also seems to work fine every time. Any thoughts?

If you are firing the top barrel only, are you sure that you are opening the action fully to reset the trigger. If you are only opening up the action enough to extract the shell from the top barrel, it may not reset. Just a thought.

As Javy12 said, it could be just what he said. Just in case you don't know. The bottom barrel should be the first barrel you should be shooting. Its the standard of the OU thing. Try shooting the bottom barrel first and see what happens.
Updates on your problem would be nice to hear. Thanks.
