Hi,
I have a Kadet 2 on the way and no frame.
Is anyone game for an updated version of the "Best Frame to Utilize a Kadet Kit?" post from 2013?

Just curious if there has been a shift in opinion over the last 7 years. I'm on track for a 75 something to land the soon to arrive Kadet 2.
Thanks in advance for everyone's input.
All the best,
Peter

I managed to snag one of these frames when they were on sale early last year. The Kadet 2 on the bottom is that frame and a Kadet 2 upper. The combo has been very reliable and I like the beavertail on the SA frame over the Kadet pistol stubby. It comes with extended safeties, nice beavertail and an extended mag release.

Peter,
I run 4 different 75 Kadet 2s on a variety of frames. Two on 75B SA, one on a Stainless Steel 75B and one on my wife's P-01. All but one required fitting and some tuning to run with out issues. Also have a Kadet Kit for my Shadow 2. The easiest set up was with the 75 B Single action. Use this one for falling plate and bowling pin matches with a red dot. Have even won a couple. When I don't it is not the guns fault.
Good luck on your search.

P.S. CZ custom had some 75 SA lowers at a reasonable price. $475 I think.

Hi Fuzzy and Maynard,
Thanks for the input. Seems that 75B SA is tilting the scales so far.
One thing I didn't mention is that I'm in Ca and CZ Custom will not ship the CZ 75 SA frame to Ca. Sigh. Going to be an interesting search for sure.
All the best,
Peter

Will be interesting indeed and could take a while but you may find a used frame - they do appear from time to time :)

Peter,
Would just find which ever CZ I wanted for my defensive or target purpose and purchase that. Any 75 B can be easily converted to SA only if desired. Wife's P-01 is an excellent host for her Kadet 2. Did take a bit to work out which slide stop would reliably hold open on last round. You won't be unhappy any way you decide. Just be prepared for the CZ addition.
Best wishes.

Thanks again for the encouragement.
My wife is laughing. I have the addiction for sure. Started with my 452 American this summer. Can't ever find anything off the shelf. Thus the 75B SA. Think it's a nuance thing with the slightly upturned beavertail on the SA that really catches my eye.
All the best!!! Now back to the search.

I love how my KADET runs on my B-SA but the SP-01 has shown to be an excellent Host for the new style (full Rull) KADET 2

Hi Den,
I was referred to the Kadet Klub by a Rimfire Central guy that said that your are the Kadet Guru. Thanks for your Comment.
Regarding the debate. I'm between the SA and SP-01. Hunting for the SA as a first choice. There were a few available in Ca. in December, however I was not seriously looking yet. Hoping one pops up soon.
All the best,
Peter
