2-01-2021 CZ News Press Release, NEW PRODUCTS IN 2021, under Long Guns Discontinued, "Due to production capacity, we've decided to discontinue a few of our models...... Production of several rifle models has also ceased."
The CZ Variations appear to have been discontinued, 527 Synthetic, 527 American, 527 MTR, 527 Varmint, 527 Varmint Laminate and 10 versions of the 557 rifles. That's disappointing.

I cant believe they are discontinuing the American. I guess though that 527 carbines are still going to be made? Hope so.
-
Possibly a redesign away from the “mini Mauser” similar to the 455 to 457 changeover in store?

At the bottom of the page is this "Are you wondering what's behind the significant changes in our range of hunting firearms? Well you can count on some BIG NEWS coming next year! But you'll need to wait for details." it then tells you to wait for details on Facebook and Instagram. I'm guessing Psyop96 is probably correct.

Well this sucks! I just moved to a new state (new hunting laws) and wanted to get a 527 American .223 for next season. Can't find one in stock anywhere. >:(
I find the 457 interesting but I prefer my 452s. I'm concerned I will feel the same way about what ever they do with the 527.

Left handed
-
Guns International has a CZ 527 American left handed in 223 for $700 thru "elk county ammo and arms" a FFL out of Pennsylvania.

I hope they intend to at least keep a few models with iron sights around. Thankfully the Carbine and Lux are still in production. I'd love to see some Mannlicher/FS stock rifles come back around again.
-
I wonder if they’ll go back to controlled feed like in the 550? I just picked up a 557 American in 6.5 creedmoor for this November.

It is disappointing, but they do this every year. Each year they discontinue items that do not sell well..... and sometimes they intend on limited production. For some of those items...they will bring them back in limited quantities every so many years. I wish I would have bought a CZ83 when they made them in 2012 or so....I'm still waiting on these to come back to production.
For the 527/ Micro action, I hope they go to a push fed action like they did with the 557. I would like to see the 300 blackout offered again...
