There's only one first and we all tend to remember our first one.
What was your first CZ?

My first was an '05 75B Matte Stainless that started the CZ journey.
A young local 'smith who has a love of all things 1911 tweaked it years later by adding a 10-8 ledge rear and a gold bead front sight.
-
The SP-01 Tactical. Still love it just as much as the first time I shot it several years ago.

Love that rear sight on this gun!
My first was a P-01 with a Cajun Pro package. Talk about falling down the rabbit hole. . .
-
For me it was a 75b in 40S&W. I no longer have it; not a 40 fan, but the gun I did like. Now have several CZs
-
Short-wise mine was a pair of 99041s a month or so ago - and then ended up with a p01, ramis, and sp01s shortly after ..... :/
“Long wise” was the scorpion micro, a year ago. :)

A 527 in 22 Hornet bought around 1989 when Action Arms was importing them. I don't have it any longer.
-
CZ 75 Pre B. Sadly let the President of the Gun Club at Yongsan Army Base purchase it and the 22 Kadet kit for the club. Was the only DA/SA pistol on the range and was in constant demand for Army personnel trying to qualify with the then new M-9. What a sweet trigger it had.

P07 DUTY in .40 S&W.
Had just had more issues with the full sized M&Ps and was looking for a change. Went to a gun show to look at the Sig pistols and make a decision on one of those. Got to looking at them and asking questions and found out all those levers didn't contain a safety, so I changed my mind to look for something else. Ran across that DUTY P07 and bought it. Took it to the range, shot a better group right out of the box than any of the other various brands of pistols I'd bought in the previous 10 or 12 years. Still carry it today.
It did grow into more though. That's what they do.
Been modified some since then. DI RMR with slide machined/cerkoted by Primary Machine (back up sight work by them, too). Couple years ago I put a CGW reduced power trigger return spring and firing pin block spring in it, as well as a CGW firing pin retaining pin. Put a set of FDE talon grip panels on it, too.
How well does it still shoot? When I'm having a bad day with another brand of pistol trying to find something that shoots good groups I'll get frustrated badly enough to pull the P07 out of the holster and put tear up the X ring with it. Then I know it's not me just having a bad day.
Sorry, the only pic I have of the P07 by itself is the sweaty picture. Man is was hot that day.

After I obtained a Type 03 FFL (Collector of Curios & Relics, abbreviated as a C&R) I needed to find something to buy. First CZ and first C&R purchase was a vz52 in 7.62x25mm.

My first CZ was the 75B that I purchased four years ago. Since then I bought a Shadow 2, next was a 75 P-01, and
recently I added the 2075 RAMI D.
-
My first is my SP-01 Tac FDE 9mm. I bought it a LGS out of the blue. They had it in stock and I had just recently found an interest in them. Took it to the range a couple days later and I was smiling the entire time firing it.

(https://i.postimg.cc/rDTV5vsY/IMG-20200501-152834.jpg) (https://postimg.cc/rDTV5vsY)
After then I bought SP01, CZ 457Lux in 22lr and P10SC 8)
-
My first was this very tired police trade in compact. It didn't even have the correct mag with it.
(https://thumbs2.imgbox.com/fa/09/5IXNT1BX_t.jpg) (http://imgbox.com/5IXNT1BX)
Which I turned in to this. It was also my first rust blue project.
(https://thumbs2.imgbox.com/1c/dc/mH4wycD4_t.jpg) (http://imgbox.com/mH4wycD4)
It's still one of my favorite shooters.
-
My first CZ "type" pistol was an old TZ milsurp pistol with alot of wear and tear but shot great. The first real CZ was a CZ50 in 32acp. After that I got a 75B in 40. Then a 75D Compact and many more CZ's and clones since.

Purchased three of these BNIB at the same time in 1985, learned about them from Delta Force members on station.
Why three? They were only $225 each at our gun club and two years later I imported them stateside.
Still own them and are bone stock.

I lived in Chile as an expat back in 1995 and had a colleague who used to be a Lt Colonel in the army. Knowing my interest in firearms he took me shooting at an army range, where I had the opportunity to try a full auto FAMAE, very nice gun built locally under a Sig license.
Their issue pistol was the CZ 75, and I asked if I could buy a new one from the army. No problem he said and arranged for the paperwork. I took it back home (Switzerland) when I left Chile. Serial number was Y 3865, built 1994 I think.
Stupidly I sold it to a colleague who kept badgering me, and regretted it for a long time.

But in 2018 I made it right and bought this 1986 pre B CZ 75, made in Csechoslovakia, lightly used but in very good condition, for the equivalent of $ 500.-

My first CZ is the UGT SP-01 shown here. My exposure to the brand came about from a fellow range member who asked me what I was shooting. I was shooting my P229 .357 Sig. "Ever shoot one of these?" he asked. Nope. No idea what it was. Shooting his 75BD was the beginning of my love affair with the CZ brand pretty much as soon as I held it.
I found the SP-01 in a local gun store for $629.00. I did not hesitate buying the gun. I was shooting it more than any other gun I own up until 2020 came about. My 97BD and 75D Compact are 1B & 1C. Or 1A & 1B. Or, you get the picture.
Some fine looking firearms you guys have!(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210211/abadaa7e3d04f1248fa104f7ca55061b.jpg)

Just ordered a CZ 75 Compact. It'll be my first real CZ.
I've tried out the Shadow Blue, Orange, and a tooled 75 Compact and I love all of them.
One day though, I will own a short rail. It'll be the center piece of my collection.
-
This is my first and, at the time, what I thought would be my only CZ. Had CZC add the barrel bushing and optic cut. Swapped out the original barrel for a CZC threaded match barrel. Added all of the CGW goodies and a Shadow 2 mag release. Shown with LOK palm-swell bogies.

CZ-52 7.62x25 made in 1953. Purchased 22 yrs ago. Still shooting fine.
-
One of my CZ 82s, back in the nineties sometime. My .223 527 followed in 2000 or 2001.

As an MP in Africa for the U.S. Army i carried a 1911 in 45 acp and a model 97 winchester shotgun off post. when i retired from my civial job in 2011 i decided to buy me another pistol as my retirement gift. Went looking at the lgs and found my cz p-01 and bought it. smoothed the action, put cgw parts internally, new sights and grips and got it how i like it. in 2018 we moved to Florida and decided i needed another cz to make up for all the stuff i sold when relocating. Bought a sp-01 safety model and modified it very similar to my original first purchase. The best thing i did in the move was maybe not the new cz pistol but rather packing 2000 rds of Winchester white brass and bringing it to Florida with me.

CZ-52 with my C&R license in 1999.

February 15th 21’ marks the day i dove into the world of CZ with an SP01,only have about 40 rounds down her, and so far its good.Meeting a guy next week for a 97b,and will Maybe will start selling the glocks off and an hk or 3
-
My first CZ was a Cajunized SP-01. I loved it so much I decided to go away from the 1911 platform and went with a 97B. About a month after that a friend of mine told me about the Target Sport line of CZ’s. I did some research and decided on a TSO, which I picked up Friday. I can’t wait to take it out and show it off to my shooting buddies. It’s got to be the best trigger I’ve ever had!!
-
The owner of one of our LGS is a friend. He got in 2 blue handled Shadow 2s and insisted I come buy one. Now we have over 20. My wife and i both carry 75B compacts.
-
My first CZ was a CZ75 SP-01 tuned by Matt Mink from Automatic Accuracy back when....
-
Very first CZ was a CZ-83 in .380 - close to 20 yrs ago. Bought it principally for my wife as it was one of the few semi-autos she could rack (very petite gal). Fun and accurate gun to shoot, albeit in 9x17mm. Came close then and over the years to getting a CZ-75, but I have hipowers too, so didn't bite then. Yesterday I picked up a new CZ P-07 urban grey SR 9mm. I'll comment on that in another thread ( and hope to shoot it this weekend)
-
First one was a 75B chambered in 40 S&W. Love it so much I bought a second one in case something happened to it.
-
2002, PCR Nobody at all knew what a CZ was back then. Wife used it for her conceded carry class, it was a hit!
-
My first CZ was my 527 Varmint 204, this started the addiction.

Welcome to the CZ Forum. I have the P-10F as my home defense pistol with the 21 round magazines and the PL-Pro Valkyrie. Great gun, and fun to shoot.

Just curious - What did the Delta guys have to say about it?

Just curious - What did the Delta guys have to say about it?
Very little. Something along the lines of being extremely great shooters w/ nice accuracy, were way too inexpensive and that they were highly sought for in the States but unable to obtain.
Pretty much small on words that spoke volumes.
Once the shop replenished the seven the team wiped out, I was able to make my purchase. Never gave them any attention until that brief conversation.

Add me as a third. :)
My first was a 452 Trainer I got 10-15 years ago. Still one of my favorite .22lr rifles. I've acquired a number of CZ handguns and shotguns since.
-
The CZ rifle line use to be one of the better kept secrets in the gun industry. Not so much any more. Picked up my first non rifle CZ a couple of years ago, one of the stainless 75B, I'm a lefty so in the pistol line there is a bit less to choose from.
-
I think it was a cz82 I caught and released like 10 years ago.

Just got this beauty, and did a little customization. Can't wait to have the Cajun Gun Works trigger installed. Already shoots really well. (https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210413/c85be77eea55d2216c74418efa100505.jpg)

My first was a 1994 transitional model. Had it tricked out by CGW and learned real quick the over whelming majority of triggers pale in comparison. It was and still is an awesome and horrible gun at the same time.

75 B Mil in 2001. 'Nuff said. I've talked about this one ad infinitum, if you are able to see all of the old posts. I walked into Whittaker's to buy a BHP, and I left with that pistol, a case of 9x19mm S&B, Lee 9x19mm reloading dies, and a case of WSP primers. I had plenty of Alliant Unique and IMR SR 4756. I may have also bought a pound of Alliant Power Pistol on that occasion, but I think that was my next trip. I came back in 2-3 weeks and bought a 97 B. Up until then, my only handguns had been a S&W 64, an FEG PA-63, and an FEG GKK. (My old user name was FEG.)
Before CZ, I used to reload .38 Special, .45 ACP, and 12 ga., but not much else (occasional .308, etc.) Believe it or not, that 75 B Mil got me into handloading in a big way, because it performed RADICALLY differently with 124 gr. bullets at 1,100 -1,200 fps. To clarify, you could buy a box of 9x19 115 gr FMJ for $5.00 or less, all day long at that time! (In case quantities, $85-$90 before shipping wasn't that big of a deal for good "foreign" brass-cased 9mm, like S&B, PMP, etc.) NO ONE was reloading 9x19mm. I still don't know why, but that CZ got me interested in the actual potential and limitations of handloading 9mm.
As anyone who knows me can tell you, the 9x19mm cartridge is my real passion. I love me some CZs, but I have owned a lot of other 9mm pistols over the years. OTOH, the only 9mms I own today are not only all CZs, but all various versions of the 75/85 series.
I am sort of mad, because I really wanted to pick up a Walther PPQ when they were still ridiculously cheap. Oh well...
-
My first was a 97B, still bone stock however will likely send it in to be Cajunized.

P 09 .40 cal. Went into a shop looking to buy a used .40 with nothing in particular in mind. They had the a CZ, I had never heard of them. The salesman said "they have sort of a cult following". Held it and thought it seemed nice. Well that was 20 something CZ's ago. Most recent, bren2 5.56 11".

My first CZ was a plain 75BD. I liked it well enough, but after I bought an SP-01 Tactical, it was kind of redundant.
Less Han a month later, I picked up a CZ 97B with the satin finish. Nice gun, but a bit too fancy for regular (or competition) use, so I sold it.
Fast forward 15 years: I still have the SP-01, but recently added a P-07, 97BD, and a P-01. I think my CZ handgun collection is complete for the moment...but there may be a CZ 527 calling my a,e somewhere! ;)

First and only. '07 85 Combat. I think the satin nickle finish was discontinued the next year. I got to try it (dry fire) side by side with a 75B and BD but went with the nicer feeling trigger of the Combat.

I just purchased a new PCR. I am a long time shooter, certified pistol instructor and FFL. If I can figure out to post pics on this forum I will share a few. Until then, we’ll it looks just like a new PCR. 😎😊😉👍🏻

My first CZ was a 75B Omega. A friend was big into CZ's and brought his 75b out to shoot with us one day. Loved the way it shot, but didn't care for the sights or curved trigger. Did a little searching and came across the 75B Omega and bought one.
-
My first CZ wasn't a CZ, and it led me to this site. I was carrying a Taurus 66 .357 Mag revolver at the time for my EDC, (Arizona law is GREAT for carry), over 30 years ago, when I stopped at my favorite gunshop, and he insisted I try the trigger on something new he had on the shelf. It was a brand new EAA Witness in 40SW. I tried it, pulled out that Magnum, placed it on the counter and said, "Here's my trade in." I carried that Italian made pistol for YEARS. It was so new that the record in Italy showed it being shipped as a 9mm. Now flash forward a bunch of years, and I have hung on to this pistol through bankruptcy, marriage, and childbirth, and I was between jobs working at Jensen's Indoor Range. I call it between jobs because working the range as a salesman and range officer was WAY too much fun to get paid for, and because it paid squat. A customer there named Old Joe, (passed on many years ago, RIP), told me it was ridiculous that would be carrying a CLONE of the truly great CZ. He sold me a steel frame CZ 75 Compact for dirt. That little pistol was incredibly accurate and fit me like a custom made glove, and I carried it everywhere.
Unfortunately, like many guns I have lost over the years, medical bills and such led to it being sold, but by that time I had discovered alloy frames, and a P-01 rode my side until I literally wore it out. Now a first gen P-10C has the honor, and I look forward to many year wearing IT out!

Primary Machine did the work. They did the optics cut and also the lightening cuts to make weight for USPSA’s Carry Optics division. The max weight has since been increased to 59 oz to accommodate the Optics Ready shadow 2 so the lighten8ng cuts are not needed anymore.

Just got my first CZ a couple of weeks ago - a Scorpion Evo 3 S1, and can't wait to do all the "personalization" on it! New handguard, grip, prism sight (ordered) AK rightside safety, folding brace, and eventually a 5.3" trilug barrel! Darn those stretches between paydays, bills and PLAYdays!
Eagerly devouring all posts Scorpion related!

My first CZ was a little project 40P that I picked up for a song from a friend. Learned the internals of CZ's with it and haven't looked back. I still carry the 40P most often when out in the woods or travelling. It is still one of my favorites to shoot and is superbly accurate. It looks a bit different now with more goodies installed but here is what it looked like back in 2011.
Picks of my 1st and 2nd CZ's:

P10-F was my first and one that got me hooked on CZ. I've since brought home a couple of CZ hammer fired friends to keep it company ;D
-
A CZ-82. It was a blast. And such superb ergos, if the original thick grips are left on the gun.
Owning this plus a pair of Polish P-83s and Maks, I decided to simply own Makarovs (my first carry guns, and carry Began for me around age 59).

My 1st was a 75B from the late '90's when these were being sold as 'Turkish contract overruns', and before CZ was as popular as it is now.
Below is its younger brother ex-Israeli police. Would love to find an original set of waffle grips for it.

P07 in .40. Wish I still had it. Traded it on my PCR

P01 Omega. I wouldn’t say I loved it but I liked it.

A Phantom
-
My first was a CZ-75BD soon followed by a PCR.
-
The first CZ I shot was a Shadow 2 (my only reference in 9mm was a Glock 17).
Then I bought a P-09 (I have the feeling it gets better with time. I used to like it, now I love it).
I guess we shall open a new thread to tell you what was my second CZ, and my third... and my fourth.
My fifth will most likely be a P01.

Can't go wrong with the P01. Wait until you start using Cajun Gun Works parts in your CZ pistols. It is an addiction.
-
My first and only is P-01 Omega. I'm definitely a believer in CZ's and could see get another.
-
My first CZ is referenced here: (https://czfirearms.us/index.php?topic=104110.0)
as the earliest CZ 75 B known -look under heading “1993.”
No import markings; SN N2xxx.
-My latest is probably the subject of more gun-lust for me than any other. Ever since I fired my buddy’s Tactical Sport Orange a few years ago, I’ve REALLY wanted one. At long last, I’ve got a ‘21 TSO, BNIB!

CZ 75 was the beginning of my story with CZ

There's only one first and we all tend to remember our first one.
What was your first CZ?

My first was an '05 75B Matte Stainless that started the CZ journey.
A young local 'smith who has a love of all things 1911 tweaked it years later by adding a 10-8 ledge rear and a gold bead front sight.
A very nice choice for the first CZ to own...

This is my one and only — a 2021 P-01 Omega. Got the fever, found it at my LGS and fell in love with the fit to my hand. Got some new Lok grips to make it feel even better, and a month later have 500 rounds downrange. Love it!

My first was a RAMI D.
I now have a RAMI .40 which will some day be sent in to be fitted for .357 SIG.

AGREED! Although my first was a PCR, the "next" was the Matte Stainless that took my shooting skills to the next level and furthered my journey -- to include some Cajun GW parts (bushing, 3 spring kit) upgrades to the PCR that makes it shoot nearly as well! Single action, of course.

My first CZ was the top one :) never malfunctioned, runs like a champ...

I just purchased a brand new cz 75D PCR. Very excited although I cannot for the love of god find any mags 9mm 10rnd compact. Anyone know what the hell is going on ;D ;D ;D
-
Mine was a 75B as well, I just had to see what all the fuss was about, and it was inexpensive to boot. Unfortunately, I don't own it anymore, but I do have this one:

CZ85 being left handed it was ideal.

CZ-83 purchased at Patch Barracks, in Germany. Great pistol, wish I had never sold it. Think it was under $200 at the time.

I had a very bad experience with a Glock 19 MOS I ended up trading off all my Glocks and buying a CZ P07 9mm. I found that being an old revolver guy I adapted well to CZ's D/A S/A pistols and now own several. My latest CZ is a 97 BD it shoots as well as my 40 year old Colt Gold Cup.

2018 P-01 Omega. I bought it this fall. It had the grips on it and some Cajun springs in it. I got out the Flitz and the Dremel and made everything silky smooth. Polished the trigger and barrel for looks. Added a guide rod, some pins and a trigger spring from Cajun.
Swapped the mag release to the correct side for a lefty. Installed a Hi-Viz fiber optic front sight. Tried both the decock and the safety and prefer the decocker.
Amazing little pistol. I liked it enough to have bought another one, the urban grey with threaded barrel. I will likely give it the same treatment, possibly with the short reset kit.

I started 4 years ago with a 75b in 40 S&W and it has many, many friends in the safe with it. It's an addiction I tell ya!!! I raised rabbits as a kid and these darn things multiply like those rabbits.

I remember those days- for me, it was at both the Hanau’s Rod and Gun or Wiesbaden rod and gun…..
-
I started w a 527 Carbine in 7.62x39. Then I held a 75BD, which I promptly bought and dumped the Glock I’d never been happy with. Now I have nine more to keep the first two company.

My first CZ was a CZ-52 lol

You non-Californians have it so nice. Haha i paid up the ass for my P10C and P07. Not even gonna say cuz im not proud of it, but in comparison to current CA prices, I did “well.” More than I wouldve liked for the P01, although just under retail.

My GF is from Thousand Oaks, anyways a few years ago I visited some gun stores out there. I laughed and cried at the prices I saw.

I started down this path with an Israeli surplus TZ75 Tanfoglio clone that I got off Gunbroker. I liked it and knew I had to get the real thing.
-
My first CZ was the Original 805 Bren Ps1 in FDE
I "took a chance" and bought it from the Sportsmansguide
At the time I didn't know much about the Bren but, I did know that I really wanted a "pistol" and, the guide has that wonderful 4 pay plan.
Man oh man, when I got it in hand, it was true love lol even moreso after I shot it. It's amazingly, smooth with absolute minimal recoil. You can stay on target so easy with it.
Anyways, that was my first CZ and, I'll never part with it. It'll be passed down. I liked it so well, that I bought another a few years later. Now, I have the new 2Ms 8" version.
Imo, the Brens are the best.

my first CZ was an SP01 Shadow which I regrettably sold for another gun.

Just purchased my first CZ......A CZ P10C...tried to buy one in FDE....but had to buy one in black. Still super stoked to get it...will pick t up one day this week.
-
Mine is less than 2 weeks new to me. Gently used, and now one of my favorite firearms. 200 rounds in and I'm totally hooked. Never heard of a CZ 75B until just after New Years. Took me 2 weeks to find The One. And man I am one happy owner!
-
My first CZ was an SP-01. Somehow they multiplied and can field a basketball team (with some reserves). :D

That lowered thumb safety looks like something I would want...
