I may have seen this on here some time in the past, but can't find it now...My '96 Turkish over run has an odd shaped pin hole..I swear I've seen info on it here, but...Any info you guys can supply will be absorbed and appreciated.

Are there others out there? Any significance?

Anyone ever seen one like this? The more I search, the less I find...
-
Almost looks like it was cut for a pin with a tab on the end.
Only idea that comes to me would be to make it easier to pull out once you got it started from the other side. Push the other side, slide a finger nail or knife blade under the tab and pull the hammer pin out.

First time i have seen that one. Some folks pay to have similar stuff added to their slides. Maybe it is a Turkish speed dimple. :D

I was thinking maybe a machine or machinist boo boo? A factory blem?

Found it! In the thread "CZ steel frame compact decocker" There are two other guns with the same odd hammer pin hole...

One pic has arrows, and the Hammer pin hole circled....but the info was written in German, I think. NOT english at any rate. Now my curiosity is killing me....

is this hole on both sides?
my only guess would be, (if it is on both sides), that it allows the hammer to drop down a bit further maybe during rapid firings?

Not on both sides. Only the left side...

MAN! There has GOT to be a reason for this odd milling. Please speak up if you know...
