Title: Default CZ-75 hammer spring the best way to avoid light strikes with Kadet Kit?
Post by: Metal Wonder Nine Guy on February 24, 2021, 06:31:50 PM
Yeah, the 17 lb spring does lighten the trigger pull, but does the standard 20 lb spring minimize (but probably not eliminate) light strikes with most 22LR ammo?

Never had an issue using the 17lb spring.  With my extended firing pins CGW does not recommend using the 20lb spring.  On my SA pistol I can not tell the difference in trigger pull.

If you are not "asking for a friend", then I would say,try different hammer springs with your Kadet 2 and determine what is specific to your gun set up.
Just like some folks can run any 22 ammo brand and weight on their Kadet 2, some folks have picky Kadet 2s...
Individual differences..

The guaranteed way to ensure good primer strikes is to set the trigger up as single stage only and use the OEM hammer spring. With a race hammer, a little polishing, and a reduced power trigger return spring you can have a nice crisp 2lb+/- trigger that goes bang every time.
