Rifle or pistol? Rifle the 457 is excellent as are the older 455, 453 and 452s. Pistols, a Kadet if you can find one. Discontinued a few years back. Most CZ pistols have conversion kits made for them that are very good.
Good luck.

CZ currently makes the 457 rifles. This rifle is an update of the 455's to remove some of the 455's perceived short comings. The 457 has a shorter bolt lift, an adjustable trigger and a safety in the US style, forward to fire back to safe, opposite of the 455's. There are several stock and barrel profiles to choose from, everything from small light trainers up to heavy bull barrel Match Target Rifle (MTR). Some of the barrels have match chamber others don't. A look at the CZ-USA site should be thought provoking.

The CZ 457 is a solid 22 rifle. Extremely accurate for its price.

I have a P-07 with a Kadet kit and it is very accurate. Does the job for once in a while narrowing down the squirrel population using .22 quiets or shorts. Just my opinion though, just for occasional varmint hunting there are many inexpensive .22 rifles and cheap scopes out there to spend lots of money on a CZ or any expensive .22 rifle. Using .22 quiets or shorts in the Marlin 60 (much more quiet than in the pistol) is a great sit on the porch and not bother the neighbor hood gun.
