hello, i am from norway and we have a shooting competition called "spesial pistol"
pne of the requirements for the pistol is that is has to fit inside a box with dimensions 185mm x 125mm x 35mm.
i have read the dimensions of a CZ83 are 172mm x 127mm x 36mm.
so to use a CZ83 in this competition i would have to cut it down in height and width.
i think i could make it less wide by shaving down the safety and grip about 2mm on the right side of the pistol. (.08 inches).
but is there enough room to shave 3mm off the magwell and shorten the magazine by 3mm and reattach the floorplate to make the total height of the pistol about 124 to make sure it fits inside the box?
or would it get to close to the pin for the hammer spring?
i hope there is someone who could check this for me because i really like the cz83 but have no room for it in other competition classes on my license.
greetings, rolly

My CZ 83 in .32ACP measures 1.380" [35mm] wide at the widest point, being the grips and 4.92" [125mm] for the height to the top of the factory sights, without the mag inserted. So I would bet it would fit in your box dimensions without an issue. There is no way I would forcibly modify the gun.

Do you already have possession of the pistol?

I have nothing to add other than I feel for you, having to be licensed and restricted as to what you can own.
